For years the Sith Empire hid in the shadows, preparing to strike once again. In their campaign to take control of the Raioballo sector, Dantooine was a target of high priority. In an attempt to cut off the Republic’s supply lines; the Empire is slowly seizing control of all critical infrastructures such as railways and spaceports. Sergeant Kolan – in between all the fighting – made a log of his thoughts, interests and daily pursuits.
-There is plenty of untouched beauty on this planet. To clear my mind in between all the harsh fighting, I assigned myself a little side project. Except for the beautiful endless plains, there are also rough, stunning gemstones in the many streams of water on this planet. I would like to have more time to focus on discovering and researching these fascinating jewels. The battles are vicious and loud. I hope we can put an end to this campaign soon, for the sake of my research and for the sake of all our lives! Sergeant Kolan, out.-
“LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE!”
This is a Falklands Steamer Duck, so named because they move across the surface of the water in the manner of a paddle-steamer as they are unable to fly. They are a large duck too, about the size of an Eider, with an equally heavy bill for cracking open shellfish. Males can weigh 4.33kg, but females weigh in less at up to 3.38kg. This one looks like it is preparing to charge by pawing the ground like a raging bull, though I realise neither bulls nor ducks have paws with which to paw the ground. And this isn't even a male, it is a feisty female taking exception to the proximity of a rival female. They only occur on the Falklands, but have a close relative on mainland South America; Flightless Steamer Duck.
Once fierce rivals, today this BNSF local is business as usual as an ATSF van and a BN GP50 come face-to-face just west of Garden City, Kansas.

That's the only place in the world, where these two planes stand at the same place.

Malcolm Merlyn and Green Arrow
I was working on a build for these two today, but it just wasn’t coming out how I envisioned it—although it’s not terrible enough to be rejected—so it’s going into the “look into later” file. Still, I made some slight adjustments to Merlyn and Arrow that I thought were worth showing off now.
These two ruffs showing their strength. They have some fascinating rituals at breeding time. Wonderful looking birds!

"Alright boys, into that vault! And make it snappy would ya! Robbing The Keystone Bank is gonna take all of you!" The Rival barked to his men.
The cold vault echoed softly as shined shoes clambered on the marble floor, pressed suit pants swished hatefully, and disdained murmuring spilled from the mobsters wearing those items.
"Sure thing Boss, right away!" a reluctant henchmen squawked after he began hustling to the vault door.
"Waitah second Rival!" another gang member chimed in, "What if that Flash fella comes out after us?”
“Nonsense!" Rival shouted, almost offended, "We took away his speed you dolt! Remember? Using a by-product of 'Hard Water' gasses, it turned our Crimson Comet into 'the slowest man alive'! Now stop yapping and get moving!” He swiftly smacked the goon on the back of the head, then without a seconds notice, speed into the vault grabbed two bags of cash, and zipped back to where he started.
“I mean even if The Flash could get here in time, he's no match for his Rival!” He began to laugh menacingly, speeding to and from the vault stealing as much money as he could!

Better late than never right? :P
I've been holding on to these images since May when I built and shot this set, but with movies and other life events getting in the way, I felt like this comic set just kept getting pushed off. Finding four consecutive days in a row to upload on flickr has been quite a challenge lately!
So with that in mind, I hope you guys enjoy this new comic set featuring some great figures, and some really fun stuff!

Here are some more props from the set we stumbled across on Saturday.
I think I pretty much squealed with delight when we found this mangle behind a bunch of other stuff piled up in one of the archways at The Citadel. Probably the best angle I could get of the mangle... That rhymed. :o)
Friendly rivals.
Wouldn’t the whole world be better off with more of this?
Happy 21st Birthday, Flickr!
