What is your direction of photography?

#1 Extreme care for technical quality. Shoot RAW and know all the tricks in post-production. Creativity lies in the digital darkroom.

#2 Care for aesthetics. Meaning and form are the essences of art. Quality relying on technology or equipment is not lasting ever.

#3 Care for everything. I care for technical quality as well as aesthetics, social responsibility and whatever else.

All directions are equal but some are better than the other. The only exception one is care for everything. Everything is important means everything is unimportant!

What is your direction?

Happy weekend!

We have rain on Saturday and I am finding direction for rain free destinations!! :o)

West Boulevard, Vancouver summer 2014.

It's battleship grey outside,

Confusion, all this is for the gods

Uncertainty, I could be bathing under artificial light

Under twilight blues, starts to mesmerize

Untie myself and light up my life

But your soul isn't mine when you cant see in the eyes

'cause I don't know, what I'm getting

But I'm getting something... I don't know

History has proven that in any nation where government control becomes the number one priority in a nation, removal of guns from private citizens is paramount to successful and total control.

Never, under any circumstances, let U.S. Government officials change the Second Amendment through domestic modifications to favor political causes.

Likewise, citizens must be aware of any treaties and negotiations with other nations or any body of nations like the United Uations which would restrict Second Amendment rights.

Remember, those who are against gun rights will stoop to the lowest levels to amend the Constitution to remove the Second Amendment.

Tinkering with the Second Amendment in any way, shape or form is the first warning sign that there are those in power who do not want citizens to have the power to enforce and protect this Democracy and Republic. Suspect any and all who want to change the Second Amendment.

sometimes they're hard to make....

I asked the man about keeping an endangered animal as a pet. He told me that his loris dropped off from the tree when it was still a baby. It would have died if he have left it where he found it. He could not return it to its parents for they would reject it once it is tainted with the human smell. So he had no choice but to rear it himself. I have no reason to doubt him. I have no reason to believe him.

In the Pahang jungle, I saw this man with the slow loris. It was obvious that he has bonded with the animal and they treated each other affectionately. But the slow loris is an endangered species. The cute, adorable and gentle loris with its large eyes is popular as a pet but wild life trade has decimated their population endangering them. Loris also do not breed well in captivity and they have one of the slowest birth rate for a mammal. Before they are sold as a pet, their teeth are ripped off with a plier as they have a toxic bite. Many do not survive this treatment. When Rihana took a selfie with a slow loris in Thailand, two men were arrested.

In today's race for immortality in the products we use, it is only fair to mention another worry, wasting solar energy. Hopefully, a new department of regulations will be created with thousands of regulations pertaining to solar functions permitted. In an administration that will be remembered for writing more regulations than all other administrations in the history of the United States, it is only right that the populace be further regimented by rule about how much sunshine we can consume and when we can consume such solar energy. If we the people, use more than our share, will there be enough sunhine for other nations?

I knew the President would come up with such an air-headed plan--it is all part of getting rid of our respect in the eyes of less-fortunate nations. But we still have plenty of money to explore how to make the air fresher. WE HAVE MONEY TO INVEST IN A BANKRUPT COMPANY LIKE SOLYNDRA?

In my opinion, the entire "global warming" and "greener movement" is simply a disguise for undermining America's power. If you do not believe this, look at the rules and regulaltions WE THE PEOPLE are permitting EPA to put into effect and further destroy us economically.

When the Chinese and other enemies are heading toward our shores to claim land for the money we owe them, are we going to be able to stop them? Maybe, just maybe there are those who do not want to stop them, hmmmm?

Will government healthcare with options be the kind that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and President Obama will want for their families? If the new healthcare with options will be the rule, then there should be no exceptions, all will be equal ''...in his sight.'' It will be, literally, the gamble of a lifetime. Are you ready for this? Is this going to be the cure-all for all of us from the First Family to the last family that just entered our nation?

This beauty was built before the idealogy of CO2 emissions was created for political purposes. Back when this muscle car was cruising around, Democracy was a lifestyle that was loved and cherished. But keep in mind, the men and women who had stamped out the foes of American liberty and free enterprise were the greatest generation and those of us born in the 40s and 50s were the children of the great generation, thus we had role models we respected and honored. Unless youth have role models they respect, they sometimes stray from the norm. Those who went to Vietnam and answered the call to duty went because it was a duty they felt they should serve. Most of the children of Vietnam vets understand the idea of democracy and respect our right to succeed.

If it belongs to you, you can give it away, donate it to a charity, or sell it for what you want. Few regulations govern these sales. Alcohol and guns might be the exception to the rule on what one can buy and sell. Naturally, the items must be legal to possess. For example, one would not find a jeep outfitted with 50 cal machine guns or a working still created to distill whisky. So, there are a few regulations.

When OR if legislation is passed that will require Believers to abandon or break any Scripture they hold dear to their faith, then one's conscience must be obeyed.

Of course, this is only my opinion.

After almost two years of careful observation of the government in operation, studying the many appearances of all of the political talking heads, both Democrat and Republican, and after listening to the President with much attention almost every day, I have reached a solitary conclusion. I have arrived at an opinion that I have not shared with anyone, but I can now see the agenda of the current administration very clearly. But it is not just the democratic administration that is involved in my opinion, there are a certain number of Republicans that are aligned with this agenda for America's future.

When I heard President Obama contradict previous statements he had made about Healthcare being option and not a tax, I realized that my opinion about the agenda is correct. There is a definite agenda here. One's President does not contradict himself with a smile without something going on in his mind that is an agenda. Is it a Socialist agenda? This will be the question each American who believes in democracy must ask: DO YOU WANT A DEMOCRACY OR A SOCIALIST NATION?

This is the question each American must ask in November of 2010 and most assuredly in November of 2012. The Wild Mouse photo represents the confusion that is being created on purpose and that purpose is to dishearten Americans, depress Americans and cause them to become so disheartened at the state of affairs that all will turn off the televison and stop listening to the radio talk show personalities.

Let WE THE PEOPLE prevail in the NOVEMBERS OF OUR LIBERATION...

WILL THESE GAUGES AND METERS BE ABLE TO MEASURE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINTS AND AUTOMATICALLY DEDUCT YOUR EXHAUSTIONS OF SUCH ENERGY FROM YOUR PERSONAL BANK ACCOUNTS? IF THE SENATE PASSES THE CAP AND TRADE BILL, WE MUST MONITOR THEIR VOTES AND CAMPAIGN AGAINST THEIR REELECTION, ONE OF OUR CIVIL RIGHTS, AND BID THEM A FARWELL JOURNEY HOME ON THE AMTRAK "HOMEWARD BOUND EXPRESSES." EVERYONE IN FAVOR, SAY "AYE."

WHAT THE USA NEEDS IS...AN EMPLOYMENT PROTECTION AGENCY.

If the Obama Administration is reelected, about the only jobs left will be those required to dismantle our refineries and close down the oilfields;there will be several thousand new jobs to close the coal mines which should leave thousands of miners and thousands of mine support workers unemployed. Of course, all of these new jobs will be government jobs with high wages and government benefits, good for the workers who get these jobs, but terrible for the men and women who must give up their industrial careers--to more government workers with very high pension plans.

So, as the lights dim on the American economy and nation, we will most likely appear to look much like a Soviet satellite country from the late 60s.

Is this the goal of this administration? Is this a payback from the Obama group to punish America for our decades of free enterprise?

Remember, the first major transformation made that raised eyebrows, in my opinion, was the closure of NASA. Exactly why was NASA shut down? It was NASA that helped the U.S. create our STAR WARS PROTECTION.

China and Russia must have celebrated this event. And as our refineries and mines are closed to make the air a little fresher, China's plans for occupying a portion of the United States will most likely be updated. In my opinion,in ten years, China just might be able to pick and choose which states they want.

I would guess they would take the ones with the most natural gas. Why not, we are not using it. The question is, will they take it by force or as a payment on our debt?

Of course, this is only my opinion and not meant to frighten the populace, I have simply studied Socialism, Democracy and National Defense for the past sixty-five years.

If anyone in their youth wants to feel the buzz of the 50s or 60s, find an old hotel that has the lobby that smells a bit musty, a sleepy-eyed desk-clerk and large upholstered chairs in the lobby area. Awaken the clerk and secure a room, preferably by the neon sign outside the room. Of course, one might never know if the sign lights until dark, and then only if the clerk remembers to activate the sign. As the sun falls slowly below the barricade of tall buildings surrounding the old hotel, wait to hear a faint buzzing noise as the light activates. Opt for no television in your room. This lack of communication with the day will help you feel the era of past generations. I could go on, but this is a good beginning for going back into time.

If you are a smoker, do not smoke in bed. (There is a possibility of being arrested if caught smoking in bed, beside, it is not safe. Read the rules. They will usually be tacked to inside of door.) Hopefully, your room will have a transom.

...start making Spanish part of the curricula of the American Education System. Does it make sense that Spanish is not taught from K through the proficiency level. If our government wants to do something positive other than spending billions of dollars, begin making Spanish a required course. I am not joking about this; I am serious. While those who are not fluent in English can be required to take English from K through proficiency, students unable to speak Spanish fluently should be taking classes from K through proficiency. This would settle many issues; this would be one of the most positive moves made in education in years. Has anyone even considered such a proposal? Probably not, but a small minnow is getting a lot of attention

THERE ARE THOSE WHO ARE NOT CONCERNED WITH THE RIGHTS OF CERTAIN SEGMENTS OF THE POPULATION--SMOKERS. While the government collects taxes on tobacco, some of the taxes used for supporting parks, those who originate such bans are not considerate of the rights of the smokers. To summarize without excess verbosity, let me simply state that a "designated smoking area" should have been provided for taxpayers who enjoy smoking legal tobacco. This is yet another example of regimentation by a few who believe it is only their privileges that matter. This type of sign should serve as a warning to all, smokers and non-smokers, that there are those who sit in cubicles who are enjoying removing your freedoms and liberties, little by little. When the government can become this personally involved in one's life that they will not permit one to smoke on a visit to a park, then something is wrong. I will readily admit that smoking should not be permitted in many area, but there should be designated areas for smokers. To cite an example of how one individual's personal preference can ruin an entire industry, visit New York City and you will realize that the days of the Peppermint Lounge are long gone. No longer can one light up in a Greenwich village pub and blow smoke. I would suppose that there are "No Smoking" signs in the old McSorley's Ale House in the Battery Park area too. What a shame. Ask the bar owners their opinions of this ridiculous ban. But most of the tavern owners aren't multi-millionaires, so it does make a difference to their incomes. Believe it or not, this smoking ban has cost New York millions of dollars in tourist money. Not too many people want to stand outside to have a smoke, not in New York, not in any city where such a ban exists.

This is an impressive building. It looks warm and inviting, like a resort of sorts. Imagine twelve of these big buildings, all landscaped and in different parts of the United States. They could be Federal Hospitals, staffed by Federal Doctors and Nurses, all Federal employees, all would be on the payroll. Each hospital would bear the name of a prominent Democrat. Right off, the first one would be in Hawaii, Obama's native state, and it would be appropriately named, The Barak Obama Health Center; the second would be in Marin County, not near the fault lines, and it would be the Pelosi No Fault Healthcare Center. There would be the Murtha Healthcare Center only yards away from the Murth International Airport. It would be an urgent care facility because of the airline connections. All of this is possible, or was. If $23 000,000,000,000.00 would not make this possible, consider the interest on twenty-three trillion dollars over an eight year period. Free healthcare only for those who wanted it.......absolutely free. Remember the 23 trillion? No need to worry, no need to fret. All would be well and it would be fair.

If one has heavy balls like these anywhere in their yard, the cap and trade bill will be the kind of burden that moving these balls from one area of the yard to another before it is all over. So, get all excited and buffed up about this bill that will suck more of your money into projects that will disappear into the woodwork. If you like green jobs and think they will save the american economy each state has a highway department that employs weed cutters and maintenance. These are good green kind of jobs but go and find one. I mean, stand in line and wait for your number to come up. Want to work for the federal government? How long do you have to stand in line to get a cushy government job that usually begins around 60,000 grand. And here's what sucks............Chrysler workers, salesmen, mechanics, etc got the finger, more or less. Just think about how much concern was shown for this sector of the populace. You want to pay double what you are paying your electric company? Want to give the government the green light to rob you legally? Pass the cap and trade bill. Folks, keep track of your elected officials who vote for this and see if you want to reelect them when you find your bank account shrinking as one new money sucking green program after another is penned in the oval office with a wide smile. Yep, the middle class is..................... Is...........Getting it.

I think that's what it is, but maybe I'm wrong. : )

Once our neighbor to the south was a fun place to visit. Somehow, throughout the last two decades, America has let the pirates rule. It could be that our Navy is now as small as it has been since prior to World War I. Pirates robbing ships' passengers as they depart the gangplank? Unbelievable.

AN ESSAY ON THE FREEDOM TO BUILD MONUMENTS

By Robert L. Huffstutter

When they came home from a war they did not start, but a war they won, they were ready to begin a project that lasted until they began passing away--making America the best and strongest nation on earth for freedom's sake.

They had seen the enemy, looked him in the eye and killed him!

It was a fight for our nation that would have great rewards for many decades. The rewards were reaped for their continued education through the GI bill that helped future military personnel, an education that would help them rebuild the purposes of America.

Their combat experience caused some of them severe mental problems, "shell shock" most folks said, but they didn't complain loudly, they simply adjusted to the best of their ability and helped each other, though few talked much about the bloody beaches they had seen. They found jobs, married their sweethearts left behind or found new ones; they began raising families, praying their children would not have to go to war. Yes, they prayed, many of them did, and they were proud of their memberships in neighborhood churches. They were glad to celebrate Thanksgivings, glad to lead prayer as the head of their family. They were the strenth of the American family, men of all faiths, creeds, religions. And yes, some were atheists, but they loved America nonetheless--unless they were Communists who were operatives. Some were discovered and tried, served their just dues. But most of these men were patriots, yes flag-waving men who became Shriners and members of the local Kiwanis Club or the Knights of Columbus. They were our fathers, our grandfathers, our uncles. There are enough of us left to remember them, but their numbers grow fewer as each day passes.

We remember them as the man and woman who fought for America's future either on the battlefield or the homefront. Never in the history of these United States since the Civil War had our nation suffered so many deaths and sorrow because of a battle with evil.

To prepare our relatives, the few who still remain, who fought in World War Two, there was the first world war, a battle America never really had to enter, nevetheless we did, thus some of our fathers had fathers who were veterans of a most miserable war.

Generations teach generations, and there was no shortage of volunteers when America became the enemy of two world powers in 1941. Within a period of a few short months, American men and women were sent into battle in large forces to battle for our survival and the survival of freedom. There were few debates at the time about our fight to defeat the evil empires that attacked our nation.

Through much sacrifice, the job was done. Today, almost ten years after this homeland suffered a frontal attack on our very soil at the cost of more lives lost on our military forces in what was then only a territory of the United States, we are on the eve of building a monument on the very site where we were attacked by two large planes that cost us more lives than were lost on 7 December 1941.

Is it a monument dedicated to the thousands of lives lost on that fateful day of 11 September 2001?

If it isn't, what is it and why is it being built on the very site where our homeland was attacked by a known force of evil ideologists who want to destroy our very way of life, our lifestyles, our combined variety of religious beliefs and our women and children, men and families of all races, creeds and colors.

I do know that if our men and women who fought World War Two were still in charge, such a building would never have been even considered for anything but a monument with a United States flag waving from its sphere.

No, it would never have been considered as a site for a parking lot, a Catholic Church, a Protestant Church, a Jewish Temple or an Islamic Mosque.

Might I mention that it would not have been considered as the right spot for a Bhuddist temple either, no, not in a a New York minute.

It is high time to find another location for this...memorial to whomever it is dedicated to or whatever it is about. The people have spoken and made it clear that they would prefer it be moved.

AN ESSAY ON TRAIN TRAVEL FROM KCMO TO TAMPA OR ORLANDO

By Robert L. Huffstutter

The Amtrak Silver Star departs New York City and travels to Tampa and Orlando. Round trip fare is reasonable for 2 adults and 1 child, about $600.

In past essays, I have continually complained about the lack of transportation via passenger trains in the USA as compared to that of past eras leading up to and including the 1960s.

I am doing a brief and simple follow-up on what is available and the cost for this transportation.

The real focus, however, is on the convenience of train travel in the USA. I would like to see train travel that is convenient and reliable.

If a train of this class (the Silver Star, in the photo above) departed Kansas City and went to Tampa and Orlando, as the crow flys, I would imagine the train would be booked most of the time. But to get to Tampa or Orlando, one must go to Chicago, then on to Washington DC and then into NYC. (These trains are almost always booked during the summer months.)

The fare from KC to NYC round trip is about $600, not a bad price, but the rub comes when one wants to go to Florida from Kansas City and is required to pay an extra $600 to get there because of the NYC requirement to connect to Florida-bound trains.

Basically, there is a demand for more passenger trains in the USA. The question might be: why doesn't AMTRAK add more trains to these routes? Does anyone know the reason? Could not some of the millions, or billions, in stimulus money be directed to railway travel throughout the United States?

The market for the NYC to FL is not hard to comprehend. Many high rollers living in NYC own homes in Miami and other resort cities. Many of these folks prefer not to fly and enjoy the amenities offered on these super trains leaving Penn Station bound for Florida. These are all FIRST CLASS TRAINS, but some of the extras like dining are extra if one is not booked into a compartment. Time of trip is about 25 hours, enough time to see the sights down the Atlantic coast. It should be a good trip for those not in a hurry.

Smoking is not allowed. Smokeless tobacco is prohibited too. However, unless the attendents performs jowl checks, it would be one rule that is hard to enforce.

For passengers wanting to economize, packed lunches are permitted. Coolers? I rather doubt that coolers would be allowed, but beer and soda is available. Flasks? Pack them at your own discretion.

"HONEY, DO YOU REALLY THINK WE SHOULD TRY AND RAISE A FAMILY IN AMERICA WITH THE SEVERE CRISIS WE ARE SUFFERING? I HEAR ABOUT THIS EVERY MOMENT OF THE DAY. LIKE THE GUYS DOWN AT THE PLANT ARE TALKING ABOUT THIS BIG CRISIS. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN, IT'S THE WHOLE THING ABOUT CLEAN FUEL, MONEY, THE GOVERNMENT, THE MONEY MARKET, THE SCAMS THAT WENT ON AND ON WITHOUT ANYBODY DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT...," HE SAID. THEY LOOKED AT EACH OTHER FOR A FEW MINUTES.

"YES, HONEY, I KNOW. THERE IS SOMETHING I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO TELL YOU. THOSE TESTS CAME BACK. IT LOOKS LIKE WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TWINS," A LONG SILENT PAUSE. "HONEY, YOU DO THINK WE CAN AFFORD TO HAVE A FAMILY DON'T YOU? WELL, DON'T YOU? PLEASE, PLEASE SAY SOMETHING," SHE CONTINUED, HER VOICE TRAILING INTO A WHISPER.

While both of these men are deceased, while they were living, they could capture the attention of most anyone by their ideas on democracy and equality in America. They fully supported the philosophy that "all men were created equal."

Both of these men are now deceased. The man on the left is my wife'sday. He did not care for FDR. It had nothing to do with FDR'S Dutch-American ethnicity, his dislike of FDR was based on Roosevelt's ever-increasing Socialization of the USA. He liked IKE and would have love Reagan had he lived to see him elected. He died an unhappy man while Carter was President.

That such a matter could be manuevered to appear that our Navy Seals committed what is akin to a felony is one of those issues that makes one wonder about the internal operations of this entire Middle Eastern affair. If only we could see how this entire scenario turned into what it is, perhaps it would be easier to comprehend. It is my belief that there are either some personality or ideological differences between members of our own ranks that are not being discussed in this very, very unusual situation. What more can one assume?

THE "RULES OF ENGAGEMENT" have yet to be leveled or approved by the International Red Cross and the World Court at the Hague, but be sure that IF there should be another blow, our SECRET WEAPONS will be launched without hesitation--if the enemy is notified at least 48 hours in advance.

Look forward to higher utility bills, a national sales tax and numerous other expenses in order to make the world a better place to live and breathe. Why worry about those who cannot eat as long as they are starving to death in a clean air environment free of asbestos. We have already seen how anxious the rest of the world is to clean up the air. Like do they really give a damn? But we will cut defense in order to make the world a greener place to dwell. If anyone can explain this rationale, try it. It makes no sense whatsoever. Why do i want to pay twice the utility bill so the population in china can breathe cleaner air when they are not willing to adopt all of the environmental baggage that pelosi took to china.

HERE IT IS, THE BILL YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR. EARL STONEBRIDGE, SPEEDREADER HAS READ IT AND HAS CHOSEN THE ESSENCE FOR QUICK PUBLICATION. NOTICE THE ''NOT'' AND THE OTHER WORDS, ALL IN THE BILL SOMEWHERE. FOR EXAMPLE, the part about ''keep prices down'' is their promise; the shopping carts is the trigger for the option. The art could be in reference to old men on their way to the store, i.e. if they get abused by shopping carts, etc, etc. Or the ''arts'' part could be refering to the shortage of men and women who will be entering the fields of healing and medical arts, whatever, the red meat of the bill is right there in red letters, KEEP PRICES DOWN, their pledge, their promise.........

If I had to create a short story about the American eagle in less than two minutes, it would be easy. I could make up a story in a New York Minute. Here goes: Once upon a time, there was a great American eagle, an eagle feared by rats and other vermin. Today, the rats are no longer fearful of the eagle because his talons have been removed. Somebody somewhere decided it wasn't fair that the eagle should have such lethal talons while the other predators' talons were smaller. To make all things equal, the eagles talons were capped with vinyl.

If you peer down into the hole of shame, you will note some protruding wires hanging limp, almost as though they had no purpose, but are they not a decoy to cause one to assume that there are yet more connections to be made before the economy becomes upwardly mobil and forthright once again?

We know, however, that it is the small businesspeople who are to blame for trying to squeeze their employees to productivity, right?

When there are no tax breaks for the employers and there is the possibility that they will be supporting one-third of the population with their healthcare, cannot get loans, and want to make a profit, it is the small business owners fault?

Let us get real. It makes as much sense as the "real scientists" referred to in the campaign who are telling the truth about global warming. My, my, my...things are really in a shambles.

When the above photo was taken in 1949, I was only 7. Those pictured in the photo are relatives, people I did not see often, but I knew they were old. I recall it was a Thanksgiving; I recall there was a prayer or blessing said before dinner.

It was one memory preserved in my mind about religion and America. I often wonder how they would feel about all of the laws that have been written to change their religion since blessings were said on that Thanksgiving Day more than 60 years ago.

How many evolutionary thoughts are we going to permit to change Christianity into a religion that is alien to its doctrine.

As a nation of individuals, it is difficult to create a national identity that will reflect our seperate standards and hopes, but it is possible if our focus is on the freedom of the individual to pursue those dreams with only a limited amount of rules and regulations. If as individuals we will understand that America is a country rich in diversity and imagination, we respect these individual differences rather than attempt to regulate or restrain them, we will develop a national unity rich in harmony, each individual unencumbered by a web or net of rules and regulations that will restrict our ideas and deafen our dreams. To summarize, a return to the days when common sense was the rule rather than ideologies that divide; a return to a time when minding one's own business would determine our destiny in what we accomplished and where we lived--a day when we could keep as many cattle and horses that we could afford to care and tend for responsibly, a time when we could build the palace of our dreams or choose to live in a cabin on Walden Pond without prejudice

While China has not made major announcements about their progress in these past few years, it is apparent that the nation that was in such an upheavel fifty years ago has made tremendous progress and it has been through mostly peaceful means. I cannot help but admire the Chinese for their progress and programs with the people's interest in mind. When one is trying to control a nation of 3 billion, it takes more than one single leader, thankfully. I believe we have all learned that a nation ruled by one man is usually not one that bring smiles to the populace. There is a TV commercial about...CHINA IS EVOLVING that shows some super trains.

From trains to dictators in one paragraph--life is interesting. I wouldn't want to have missed the experience. Robert

MORE GREEN JOBS?

Another Federal Agency. Yes, it should employ at least one-million unemployed to fill out applications for those standing in unemployment lines. Why didn't the President create a group of this nature when he was elected instead of healthcare. The folks needed jobs...jobs that would have built-in healthcare.

IF YOU SNOOZE, YOU MIGHT LOSE...many more of your public freedoms. No longer are you able to light up after work while you enjoy a beer. Since this nation was founded as a democracy more than 200 years ago, pub patrons have been able to enjoy a brew and a smoke. It has been an American tradition. Suddenly, out of a mysterious closet comes strict regulations banning smoking in bars. If you are tuned in, you will realize that this is an infringement on your civil rights. If you permit your mind to think deeper, you will understand that these bans are not about health, they are about cancelling American heritage and freedoms as we have known them. These bans are not about second-hand smoke, they are all about CONTROL. Are you going to take these abuses, these insults? Are you going to get up and go outside in the midst of winter and smoke simply to make a bureaucrat smile and say, "we are knocking down their spirit, their freedoms. And soon, we will be able to tell them where to bank and where they can live. The end of freedom begins with small and supposedly insignificant bans such as these. It is up to you, America, to allow your freedoms to evaporate slowly or all at once. Unless you begin following every piece of legislation that is written, do not be surprised if you wake up some morning and find you have only a limited number of channels on your television.
