Rideout w/Manuela 4.05.21 <3

Yesterday's rideout took me to see the winding engine house at the former Bestwood Colliery. I have just a little bit of history with this building but that's for another day. As I continue to try and use different routes, this one took in a couple of miles that I haven't ridden before. All good fun!

Tipping a trade in the sun at South Cave Tractors. Unimog U2150

First rideout in over a week, as we are in the middle of settling my father-in-law into a new house. Up and over Newstead pit tip on a blustery day that always promised bucketfulls of rain. It just held off long enough for me to get home dry! The graffiti wall has had a makeover since I last saw it. It's the same message but I can't figure out what it says.

Last week we made our yearly Sisters Ride Out.

We came through Bastogne, a town in the Ardennes in the south Belgium.

A whole street was decorated with these umbrella's.

It looked great!

In the left upper corner I could get the sun behind one of the umbrella's.

We've had great weather and it was, again, a great trip.

Scooter ride out Knaresborough 03042022

First rideout of the year, up onto Newstead Pit Tip, AKA Newstead & Annesley Country Park. Sad to see that the graffiti wall appears to have been vandalised (?!?) but happy that the water levels are getting back up to smoething like normal.

Thanks to Lisa-S and Simon for identifying these flowers for me!

A couple of phone pics from my rideout on Sunday morning. Boundary Wood incorporates what used to the the old pit tip at Blidworth, Nottinghamshire. Some excellent walking and cycling to be had, there.
