On a grey and overcast day Britannia 70052 Firth of Tay appears stored and withdrawn withs its rods removed. The photo has the information Carnforth 1966 on the back, but the loco was withdrawn in April 1967 from Carlisle Kingmoor. It was noted at Crewe Works in September 1966. The loco was on its way to Crewe Works on 4 July 1966 when I noted it on Carnforth Shed and the information on the back of the photo is correct.
