I was at my LBS back in December getting some work done to my bike when this guy came in. He makes his own bike lighting, and they are so interesting, He says he goes to estate sales and the like to find the kitchen gadgetry the lights are made from. He's using some kind of rechargeable battery set up, but I'm afraid I tuned out all that technical stuff. He showed us his setup outside in the dark. It certainly was bright enough.
bauhaus-online.de/magazin/artikel/aus-alt-mach-neu
in order to renew the "old" glassfacade of the bauhaus in Dessau in 1976 it was decided to tear it down and to dump it in a wasteyard in order to fulfill the plan target of scrap metal... the then installed new windows didn´t survive the end of the last century (sic). luckily in 2001 there were several old frames - about 120 metres - found in some gardens of Dessau and stored at the bauhaus. with those windows this temporarily bungalow was built in 2015 and it now houses a workshop for different activities
Not all grocery stores will allow you to bring your reusable bags but some do. Here in Ithaca Wegmans still allows this practice. However, it is important to keep these bags clean so I washed them and now I am drying them. They are on air dry because they’re made of plastic. If they don’t totally dry I will just hang them from the line in basement. Be safe out there!

I like to reuse and to divert everyday objects to make draws with a taste of humor or poetic dimension.
As I put out the milk bottles I noticed that one showed the scuff marks more clearly than the others. We hear much about recycling these days but far better than that is reuse. These bottles will be collected by my milkman, returned to the depot, be thoroughly cleaned, refilled with milk and be delivered again, and again and …
www.recyclart.org/2016/04/charity-t-shirt-upcycling/
This is a project I undertook to reuse RNIB T-shirts to make them into new, innovative designs that could be sold to raise money for the charity RNIB that helps and supports people who are blind and partially sighted. Ethical fashion and sustainability within fashion are a worldwide problem that needs to be addressed and through this work, I hope to inspire people to buy, sell and make ethical clothing choices.
I enjoyed this project because the principles that I have used to deconstruct and reuse the T-shirts could be applied to any t-shirt or unwanted item of clothing. So in turn, this idea could become more widespread through creatives to stop waste and spread the importance of re-using clothes and the ethical and sustainable issues within fashion that are destroying the planet.
(non so come postarlo qui :((!, dai dai!).
E' un bellissimo esempio di riutilizzazione di un edificio romano.
Buon giorno!!

During the walk we noticed a little indication that showed "Roman Anphitheatre". We decided to make the diversion and walk in that direction. At certain point we come up with the doubt to have taken the wrong path and be lost in the labirint of houses (so beautiful!)...yet it should be visible (!)...we could climb a little bit higher and from that point we notice it.
The rest of the Anphitheatre (I sec. after C.), that wall/s, was part of the tiers part preserved and visible, perfectly set between medieval houses (XII sec.), disposed in a way to preserve the "oval" form (don't know exact translation :(!).
Infact If you make a search on satellite for Assisi (googl..please please do it :)!) you can see it perfectly, ALL the structure!!, incredible!...(I don't know how to post it here so..:((! come on, how can I explain you, is ALL, not only walls...go and see :)))!). It's a beautiful example of roman structure's reuse.
Buon giorno!!

What I'm working on right now. I'm knitting the plastic bags that newspapers come in. The goal is to make a welcome mat. This half of the rug is in green-toned bags. The second half is blue. I am almost finished, but I need to get some more bags to complete the length.

These were usual in the good old days when doctors were doctors and made home calls.
The first hypodermic syringe was created by Alexander Wood in 1853.
Late 1982 - Tipped off that they were being stored in sidings in Colchester pending disposal. Like several enthusiasts took pictures kindly unchallenged but unfortunately there was an armed raid for copper etc. within a ouple of days of these pictures and a railman was hurt. Suspect many visited them. I had been travelling regularly on these from 1956 to 1967 between Romford and Seven Kings with occasional trips to Liverpool Street until their withdrawl.
Trees had to be removed to remove a culvert and build a new Pussyfoot Creek under SR 164 east of Auburn, but they were saved and reused to create new habitat.
Repurposing to find a home for my little Mexican Cigar plant seedling. I might have to buy some more cans, I've got a whole lot of seedlings looking for a home :)
I made 10 of these lunchbags to bring to Renegade. I hope they do well there because then I'll make more. I experimented with using leftover olive green ink from my Yudu in my Print Gocco machine. Yudu ink is a little thinner so I got some over-inked spots but overall, it was a good project.
I have windows for the sides as well and am just waiting for some hinges I bought on ebay to arrive to set them up. However, I may leave them off for the summer to avoid cooking my plants in a solar oven.
I still need to add some trim, particularly on the bottom window frame on the right. I also need some hardware to keep the windows from swinging when left open and some handles.
