Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation. Global surface temperature increased 0.74 ± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F) during the last century. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes that increasing greenhouse gas concentrations resulting from human activity such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation are responsible for most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the 20th century. The IPCC also concludes that natural phenomena such as solar variation and volcanoes produced most of the warming from pre-industrial times to 1950 and had a small cooling effect afterward. These basic conclusions have been endorsed by more than 45 scientific societies and academies of science, including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries.

Forbidden Planet is a 1956 science fiction film directed by Fred M. Wilcox and starring Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis and Leslie Nielsen. The characters and setting were inspired by Shakespeare's The Tempest, and the plots are very similar.
The film features a number of Oscar-nominated special effects, groundbreaking use of an all-electronic music score, and the first screen appearance of both Robby the Robot [and the C-57D flying saucer starship

"The Shadow Driver"
Cutting through the pitch-black night, the car speeds along the suburban road. The driver, wrapped in a studded leather jacket, wears a black cloth across his eyes like a blindfold, silently gazing ahead. The numbers "P 4439" glow blue-white on the dashboard, like a cipher for this night's mission.
The line of spikes along his shoulders, sharp as his past scars, deepens the shadows falling inside the car. A silver chain swaying at his neck occasionally catches the moonlight, casting cold reflections. That light silently speaks of the weight of the mission he carries.
Tonight, he has something that must be delivered. A dark cargo that would never be spoken of in the daylight world. Beneath the leather jacket, his heart beats with unwavering certainty.
On the suburban road where streetlights grow sparse, only the engine's growl breaks the night's silence. Just a little further to the destination. His mission must be completed before dawn breaks.
The tension floating in the car's interior and the shadows cast by the leather's texture - these are fragments of an untold story, of those who live in the city's underbelly, a tale known to no one.

In the dead of night, a mysterious driver in a studded leather jacket and blindfold races through suburban streets. The dashboard glows with "P 4439" as he carries out a secret mission. Silver chain catches moonlight, marking him as a shadow dweller in the city's dark underbelly.

We focused on the NPCs who support the world of Cyberpunk 2077 behind the scenes and cut out photographs of their daily lives in Night City.
Although we tend to focus on NPCs who are involved with the story line and the main character, the majority of NPCs present in the city also have their own individual faces and lives. Each of them is assigned a name and, to a limited extent, they all perform human activities. It is no exaggeration to say that the fascinating worldview of Cyberpunk 2077 is supported by them.
I wanted to express my respect for the many faces of these often-overlooked characters, and for the creators of CD Projekt Red, who put a lot of hard work into creating these often-overlooked NPCs, and even behind the scenes.

This is a tale of two inspirations. The first is Calin; I saw a cutaway of one of his hot-rods elsewhere on the internet and had an itch to try out his technique for a car floor. In the end I didn't use it, but it did get me at the building table.
I did briefly consider doing a car myself, but as I was going I couldn't help thinking of Isaac Wilder's awesome retro-futurist vehicles. I have a bit of a thing for British classics, so my thought process was very much "what if *old British car*, but future?".
There's a bit of Austin A35 here, but mainly it's a car that I've wanted for a long time: an MGB GT*. There were several iterations of the tailgate in particular; I wanted to replicate the big glass piece on the BGT, but couldn't figure out a good solution that filled all the gaps. I'm not unhappy with this one, though.
*MG (or indeed other classic car) aficionados will probably recognise where I got the name from for this one...

The Thunderbird is one of Ford's greatest nameplates, having been introduced as Ford's first 'sportscar' in 1955.
Ford used this original, first generation Thunderbird for the inspiration for the retrofuturistic eleventh generation Thunderbird in 2002. This extended even to the palette of pastel colours available on the series. Less effort was made in styling the interior with the period theme, and the car shared much visible hardware with its DEW98 platform brother, the Lincoln LS. Theis platform was also used on the retro-themed Jaguar S-Type stablemate.
This eleventh generation 2002 Thunderbird convertible (and optional hardtop) has been modelled in Lego miniland scale for Flickr LUGNuts' 81st build challenge, - 'Generation Gap', - featuring vehicles that have been produced in more than one generation (eleven in the case of the Thunderbird).
This model had also been part of a buddy challenge with Ralph Savelsberg (Mad Physicist), his entry being the forth generation 1966 Thunderbird featured in the film 'Thelma & Louise'.
This model also happens to be the first brick-built model I made in nearly two years - wow!
