I was much too far away - I noticed this eagle swooping down to the river and thought it was going after fish… instead it struggled to get airborne with this rather long large stick and finally abandoned the whole idea….
The LASR (Library Automated Storage & Retrieval) is a state-of-the-art condensed book storage system. During the renovation, all the books we use a lot will be stored in the LASR, and people will be able to request them. After the renovation is done, those books will go back on the shelves, and the books we don't use very much (like the Deweys, which are being stored off-campus during renovation) will go in the LASR.
