The Retail Facilities Summit is the leading forum for senior store development, design & construction executives to collaborate on the most crucial matters impacting the industry today. Unlike a traditional retail conference or convention, this invitation-only summit provides a more intimate and interactive forum to connect one-on-one with industry peers to produce key takeaways and build new relationships.

At the end of the market next to the Grove, they have this cool old hopper. According to "Mr. Kidson" in "The Bugle," it was used by a market tenant to process nuts. When they outsourced these to a vendor, the hopper became property of the market. Sometime in the past 5 or so years, it was replaced on the roof, near the old Chinese place (not to be confused with the new Chinese place).

Presumably, this makes FM look more like a farm. After all, the Grove looks more like Main Street at Disneyland.

I'm looking forward to whenever they invoke the whole place's oil-patch origins with a nice derrick or two.
