It's a soggy and humid Sunday morning in Aurora Illinois, as Metra's fleet of classic E units take a well deserved rest before the workweek begins again.

This old boat has been here since I can remember, long before I lived here I remember photographing it with my bridge camera back in 2005. I am quite surprised there is anything left of it. The red house on the other hand is definitely a new addition. Hence this photo.
I've been spotting a lot of lazy Anhingas lately -- at least this one wasn't napping like the last one!

During an hour jewelry shoot, I took a break, and found her resting on this fern. I don't think she was doing too well. Went to check on her after the shoot but she was gone for better or worse. She's certainly really pretty thou, better than the jewelry for sure

One last photo of the black & gold widow skimmer I noticed deep in the flowers & foliage close to the coneflowers a few days ago. Shot though a small window in the foliage. Saving as I never know when I will see another one. :)
Walking down the street, I saw this woman as she walked into the shade of a tree to take a break from the hot sun. Right next to it, in full sun, there was a stand of the historical reconstruction group of which he is a member (hence the forage cap, uniform and armband - referring to historical events from WWII).
Taken with a Nikon F90x camera and Nikkor AF D 28-105mm f3.5-4.5 lens on ILFORD XP2 super 400 negative film. Most of the photos were taken on a black and white analogue walk with Ilford.
