I came across the grave of Aggie Weston (Agnes Elizabeth Weston). Friend of the Royal Navy. She opened the first Sailors rest in 1876 in Devonport to give sailors a place to go to without alcohol. More followed in other Naval Base towns. and they became known as Royal Sailors Rest or just Aggie Westons. she died in 1918 and was the first woman to be given a burial with full naval honours.
Sophia Wintz became close friend and helper of Aggie Weston in the 1870s. She took over from Aggie Weston until her death in 1929. She also wrote many books about Aggie Weston and the movement. She is buried adjacent to her friend and again had full naval honours, 400 ratings attended the funeral.
Both of them were made Dames.

When he debuted in 2002 with the album To Let, Xavier Rudd began a journey that would see him become one of the most iconic voices in Australian music, literally and figuratively. With each new album, this journey has wound like a river making its way toward the ocean - twisting and turning, flowing and cascading as it relentlessly pushes forward.
