Chasing a freight train isn't too easy in the UK on account of the slow roads we have in built up locations. Given that this service has to wait ten minutes at Knottingley East Junction to allow a Leeds passenger service priority it does offer a second photo opportunity within the confines of Knottingley town. I had shot it earlier (uploaded yesterday) as it crossed Womersley Road crossing. The biomass service is seen heading west through Knottingley station.

After some impromptu repairs following a mechanical fault halfway up the climb through the Haunted Hills, Steamrail's K153 (running as K100) limps back into action as the mainline K class trio of 153, 183, and 190 near the summit before descending slowly into Morwell.

A volcanic restart for former Southern Railways Class S15 No. 825, as it heads the 10.00am to Pickering NYMR service away from Whitby on 19th April 2023. NYMR services from Whitby are held once they are clear of the foot crossing for the second man to rejoin the train after reseting the road into the station for Northern services to access Platform 1.
