HELP!!??? Leucistic? Albino? RESOLVED:

I received several comments, and my thoughts below are simply off-base. The paler bird is a AFRICAN COLLARED-DOVE. In captivity I have learned that they are called Ringed Turtle-doves. Thanks to all for your help, as I had never known of this variety of dove.

African Collared-dove: Streptopelia roseogrisea

Eurasian Collared-dove: Streptopelia decaocto

This Eurasian Collared-dove showed up this afternoon to feed on the ground under a seed feeder set out a Morro Bay State Park where my wife & I are Camp Hosts.

It stood out right away as a much paler/lighter bird. The inset of in another photo is a high enlargement of this photo, showing sunlight on the eye showing red, although the normal bird's iris is also red. And normal leg color is pink.. not much help with albinism possibility sorting...

Peacefully resolving the overriding political, economic and social concerns of our time requires a multifaceted approach, including mechanisms to address the links between the natural environment and human security. UNDP, UNEP, OSCE and NATO have joined forces in the Environment and Security (ENVSEC) Initiative to offer countries their combined pool of expertise and resources towards that aim. ENVSEC assessment of environment and security linkages in the South Caucasus was completed in 2004 and presented at the Ministerial meeting of EECCA countries in Tbilisi. The assessment as well as already on-going initiatives form a basis for an ENVSEC work programme in the region.

Spent another day off from work and school at North Baker Beach, but had to leave relatively early mid-afternoon due to the increasing gusty and chilly winds! :-(

Fortunately, the art installation I noticed earlier in the week, being set up by Goodscapes.net , is now complete!

New Horizons has survived its close encounter with Pluto and has resumed sending back images and data. The robotic spacecraft reported back on time, with all systems working, and with the expected volume of data stored. Featured here is the highest resolution image of Pluto taken before closest approach, an image that really brings Pluto into a satisfying focus. At first glance, Pluto is reddish and has several craters. Toward the image bottom is a surprisingly featureless light-covered region that resembles an iconic heart, and mountainous terrain appears on the lower right. This image, however, is only the beginning. As more images and data pour in today, during the coming week, and over the next year, humanity's understanding of Pluto and its moons will likely become revolutionized. via NASA ift.tt/1MtRDn8

This is the 'grand hall.' Some sort of reception area, methinks. It's a very good space. I absolutely love this layered articulated roof/ceiling structure.

This picture is very... very indicative of Take's true personality. There's something empty, and cold... but also dangerous, if only because he possesses so little feeling for anything in the world around him.

It makes me wonder if throwing away the life he knew to live with a serial killer was really that difficult of a decision for him.

1° Trampo, no meu trampo, que eu gostei =)

Last night, there was a break in the storm clouds just briefly as the sun was setting. Suddenly we had this explosion of orange light against a fairly dark backdrop, and I knew I had to at least try to shoot something, ANYTHING. I'd just returned from the gym and was definitely not getting in front of the camera, so I coerced Jeff into being my model. We climbed out our bedroom window (the shortcut to our back yard) and snapped a few before the light was gone.
