Questa Pivieressa giovane si alimentava all'interno della riva del mare dove c'era una bassa vegetazione con piante piene di semi. Grazie alla sua taglia di certo non piccola come quella di altri limicoli e alla sua limitata diffidenza sono riuscito a fotografarla sdraiato e completamente allo scoperto. Abruzzo
Grey Plover. This Young Grey Plover fed on the shore of the sea where there was a low vegetation with plants full of seeds. Thanks to its size certainly not as small as that of other waders and its limited distrust I managed to photograph it lying down and completely in the open. Abruzzo

My resolution is to begin my revolution of love. If you ever attended attitude owned by vincent borsuk you know we were hinting at new things coming. Today I layed the first stone to that revolution. Blue Jay. Just testing out the new Super Resolution Enhancement feature in Lightroom.
Beware though of the huge file sizes as it creates a new dng file that is close to 350MB in size. And if you edit it in Photoshop, that will return another huge file, a tiff file of around 350MB in size too.
The original files were 6,000 X 4,000 and after the super resolution treatment they were 12,000 X 8,000, so cropping is necessary unless you're making a really big print and want the whole image to be printed.

I did some Postprocessing to eliminate the Blur in the Water and to delete the movement of the people.

so i made a new years resolution... finally...
i'm conquering my fears this year. starting with yesterday.
my number one fear was needles... i took 4 yesterday in my gums without crying.
i know it sounds funny as hell because i'm almost 20... but needles used to be the scariest things... ever ever ever to me. but now?
i'm a big kid now!!
=) next step : airplanes.... this one might take a while. hahah

Happy New Year to you all!
2023 was not a great year for me and I am sad to report that it has been 8 months since I even picked up my camera. It hardly ever left my side before, like an extension of my own eyes, but PTSD swallowed me whole and I had lost all inspiration.
My New Year's Resolution, to myself, is to make friends with my camera once again. I don't know what direction that will take other than I want to get to know her again and put her to use doing what Canon intended.
Your support through such a difficult year has been a real lifeline and I do not say so lightly. Thank you all so very much, from the depths of my heart, and I hope that I can eventually repay you all with new work to share.
My warmest wishes to you for 2024 my Flickr friends. The world has gone completely crazy and looks set to continue on that path but know that I will be there with you. Sharing my photography and, more importantly, enjoying the work and words that you share and letting you know that I am thrilled to be on that journey with you.

Eucalyptus deglupta is a species of tall tree, commonly known as the rainbow eucalyptus, Mindanao gum, or rainbow gum that is native to the Philippines, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. It is the only Eucalyptus species that usually lives in rainforest, with a natural range that extends into the Northern Hemisphere. It is characterized by multi-coloured bark.
Eucalyptus deglupta is a fast-growing tree that typically reaches a height of 60–78 m (197–256 ft) with the trunk up to 240 cm (94 in) in diameter and with buttresses up to 4 m (13 ft) high. It has smooth, orange-tinted bark that sheds in strips, revealing streaks of pale green, red, orange, grey, and purplish brown.

TIV MPI Resolution a wind turbine installation vessel owned by Mayflower Energy Ltd and launched in 2003 is seen berthed at Liverpool's cruise terminal on a calm Winters evening towards the end of the evening ebb tide.
I didn't notice the girl with the tripod until after taking the shot, so I went over to apologize for ruining her shot but she said she was happy, she wanted to have people in the shot because she was shooting a timelapse..
An approximately ⅜” (9.5mm)-wide section of a frame of SMPTE 35-PA (RP-40) 35mm projector alignment film. (Click here to view a full frame of the film.) The checkerboard pattern serves as a focusing aid, and also helps to reveal steadiness and shutter timing issues.
I couldn't help but throw in a little pareidolia, courtesy of the two resolution charts, the centerpoint marker, and the black box used as an aid in detecting travel ghost (streaking that occurs when the shutter is improperly timed with the intermittent movement or damaged, or as a result of mechanical wear).

I thought this was just a wasp with iridescent wings photo but the big screen revealed it is a wasp with an ant as prey. I don't know if the wasp's eyes are really green or that's a reflection of surrounding greenery. Circle of life at the micro level.
As 2016 looms, I started reflecting on my photographic goals and resolutions going forward. So, for the upcoming year I hope to:
- Shoot from the heart and not the head;
- Shoot less, but better, and;
- Get over my phobia about photographing people.

during our dinner at the kasui restaurant in palma de mallorca, I captured this image reflecting the scenery of plaça de raimundo clar through the restaurant's window.

Conflict Resolution
This show aims to bring together a unique combination of artworks in different media in the area of conflict resolution (between countries, individuals or internal) and focuses in peaceful solutions. Conflict resolution is a range of processes aimed at alleviating or eliminating sources of conflict. The artists selected are: Mary Bodgan, Alessandro Carboni, Maria Emilov, Marion Hack, Andrew Hart, Enzo Marra and Charlotte Rich.
