Last time I did this course using my mobile phone. Its quick and easy to both take and upload pics, and there is of course the option to modify your efforts with an app beforehand. This time I have decided that, as part of exploring 'openness', I shall challenge myself to using my dslr...and sticking to my 50mm lens (with the help of extension tubes for close-ups!), having just done the 50mm project. My aim is to be more contemplative in how I photograph, rather than just in what. Fingers crossed this will be my one and only phone camera submission to the group...

A change of heart (or at least diet) at the Toronto Sun?

I think if I applied Jordi's XDPI the font's would be readable. :-)

Realized it was stupid to go out there with short sleeves....come back with winter jacket, but resolved to retain the stupidity level by measuring the ice right at the shoreline from 3 ft. out...oh, and bring a large backpack out with you and, of course, retain the sandals.

This is the nominal example of a single exposure at 200%.

The next image was created using the exact same processing, except for adding super resolution processing.

Note that the next image has significantly more details, even after using the JPEGs straight from the camera and not using RAW.

January 27, 2010

This is the year... this year I vow to work out more, drink less, lose weight, work harder, climb airplanes, jump out of mountains and fight tigers all the while becoming taller, smarter, younger and cuter! =D

Since January is almost over I figure that, by now, most New Year's Resolutions have fallen by the wayside; their magic and enthusiasm dulled by mundane reality and old habits. I always found the concept of lying to oneself kind of amusing... I mean, what's the point? Hence, I didn't make any resolutions. I never do. I just wish these weights would quit mocking me while I'm watching TV. Oh well. They hold the mat down nicely and are kind of picturesque under the stationary bike.

I've had this idea for a shot since week one and decided that I needed to use it now or repackage it somehow later but it was a long day today and I got home late so going with an idea already formed won out.

Hope your Wednesday was a good one!

Tempt fate.
