Ok don't quote me in two months time, with the best intentions, some resolutuions for 2008.
1. More quality time for B and I away from Hotel.
2. More exploring of Caithness & Sutherland.
3. Photo a day! Thanks to mijoli for this one.
4. Find a compact camera I like.
This clock is in the central business district of May Pen, Clarendon. Erected in the 1800s reminds us of the British Colonial government that once governed our country, before independence in 1962. Although not providing accurate time, its beauty stands tall among business places, taxi terminal and accommodates a landmark for bystanders to converse.

I like to make my resolutions easy.
This one is to use my A100 more.
I have fallen into the bad habit of grabbing the little Nikon L20 wherever I go.
It is handy but I need to condition myself to use the big boy camera.
So Mr. SONY, we are going to become closer this year.
I promise.
Only 65 days left! (I made this today in art class.) I guess I'll announce it here; I plan on continuing the project so that there will be a 2011 edition as well. :)
Completing a New Year resolution is fun!

Last time I did this course using my mobile phone. Its quick and easy to both take and upload pics, and there is of course the option to modify your efforts with an app beforehand. This time I have decided that, as part of exploring 'openness', I shall challenge myself to using my dslr...and sticking to my 50mm lens (with the help of extension tubes for close-ups!), having just done the 50mm project. My aim is to be more contemplative in how I photograph, rather than just in what. Fingers crossed this will be my one and only phone camera submission to the group...

1. Live life like an Eagle
2. Eat a frog on each working day
3. Be mindful and grateful like a butterfly
For We're Here! and Resolutions
Realized it was stupid to go out there with short sleeves....come back with winter jacket, but resolved to retain the stupidity level by measuring the ice right at the shoreline from 3 ft. out...oh, and bring a large backpack out with you and, of course, retain the sandals.
This is the nominal example of a single exposure at 200%.
The next image was created using the exact same processing, except for adding super resolution processing.
Note that the next image has significantly more details, even after using the JPEGs straight from the camera and not using RAW.
