All of the vines and leaves on this brick building were dead, except these.

I saw this on the hiking trail. It is a small tree that had been chopped. Now a budding leaf was comming out of this one twig of a tree. God is awesome in his ways!

Despite a record high water level and beach erosion a small cottonwood tree thrives along the Lake Huron shoreline at the Oscoda Sunrise Park.

Happy Christmas & Blessed New Year (2025) from the Caribbean!

Congratulations to all of the graduates!

Reception for EOP Resilient Scholars 2015.

On May 1, 2015 the Educational Opportunity Programs (EOP) proudly celebrated the graduation of six remarkable students in its Resilient Scholars Program (RSP). The mission of RSP is to empower former foster youth through higher education. Without support services, less than 1% of all foster youth who attend a four year university graduate from college, yet studies suggest that programs such as RSP can raise that graduation rate to 20%.

This year's graduates are:

Angel Arevalo - BA, Communication Studies

Walter Harris - BA, Child Development with a minor in Africana studies

JAsemein Hicks - BA, Child and Adolescent Development

Destiny Melody Johnson - MS, College Counseling and Student Services

Demontae "Tae" Thompson - BA, Business Management

Demonte "Tray" Thompson - BS, Finance
