En Mexicali B.C

No solo un evento mas, Uno de los mejores eventos de techHouse, techno, Minimal y House

Un buen Party, Un buen ¨Sandungueo¨

JAKE PATRICK [Harmonic, Avaland, Music Savages, Tinyshine] grew up in rural Maine with classic rock, jazz, blues, soul, funk, and reggae influences from his hippie parents.

Jake has spent the last 7 years in Los Angeles constantly showcasing his talents around the city’s most revered electronic music nights. His sound has developed as a fusion of stripped down house and bouncy minimal techno. His fierce passion for sexy, slinky, forward-thinking house and techno, paired with a unique layered mixing style have not only landed him bookings across the country, but also weekly and monthly residencies at three cornerstone venues of the west coast --two of which are the largest and most established super clubs in the United States-- Giant @ VANGUARD (04/07-10/07), and currently Damaged Goods @ KING KING, and Avaland @ AVALON, where he recently opened the main stage for the Desolat US Tour with Loco Dice, Martin Buttrich, and Livio and Roby.

As the Avaland resident, he had the honors of playing the Avalon 6 year anniversary alongside Nic Fanciulli, Matthias Tanzmann, and Davide Squillace, as well as the 5 year anniversary of Avaland w/ a Poker Flat Showcase with Steve Bug, Adultnapper, and Berskon and What.

Other projects of his include DELINQUENT FREQUENCY, a tag-team performance with friend Matthew Derham, and MUSIC SAVAGES (www.musicsavages.com), a west coast based DJ collective he co-founded.

Sarah Français' Alpha Project was performed at the Second Nature festival in Aix-en-Provence (France). Music was played live by Greg Lion and Rorre Ecco (Beat Pleasure).

The brainwaves of the dancers were monitored thanks to EMOTIV's EPOC neuroheadset and transformed in real-time in digital visual art projected while the dancers were performing. It offered a new dimension to the artistic performance allowing dancers to express themselves with their bodies and their brains.

Michael Mayer and Superpitcher forgot to check the clock, so their deep dj-set at Trouw lacked a serious peak moment. Nevertheless it was a very bold and strong set from two dj's that seem to have left the minimal path for good. A wise decision, IMHO.

The DJ (m/f), projection screen of desire in club context, becomes the canvas(screen) for FreakA’s digital movieloops; thus the white cotton textile, the mythically charged icon of youth, and pop culture becomes enriched with the temporary transitoriness of a club event. Instead of an advertising surface for the (globalized) brands of youth and pop culture, the DJ wears the digitized visualisation of the music he plays.

Lost in Bass was founded 1997 by FreakA & Okim, a multimedia project with focus on Sub[club]culture, electronic music and visuals. Several solo and group shows, exhibitions and performances since 2000.

Don't sleep. The opening Bloc show with Model 500 sold out in advance. Same hi-tec venue, same limited capacity.

No one locks a dancefloor into a hypnotic groove quite like Detroitian superbeing Omar S.

Setting the agenda for the futre of the motor city sound via his FXHE label and blissful live shows, Omar was originally heralded as beginning a third wave of the evolution of Detroit electronic music, before the mention of waves became unfashionable and was phased out of teaching in schools.

From his famed motown minimal sound to more intricate rhythms and even Chicago house throwbacks like the piano anthem “Tonite”, Omar S’ evolving discography has a common denominator: sheer, often obtuse integrity.

Michael Mayer and Superpitcher forgot to check the clock, so their deep dj-set at Trouw lacked a serious peak moment. Nevertheless it was a very bold and strong set from two dj's that seem to have left the minimal path for good. A wise decision, IMHO. You'll find the review I wrote for DJ Broadcast here.
