Landrover Defender Rescue Ambulance from Mercia Inshore Search & Rescue seen at the ESS, Warwickshire - 24.11.2009
Acually, I did! I rescued Tiki from a shelter, and she has become a special member of our family. Because of the financial challenges affecting our nation, shelters are filled to capacity with animals that have been dumped by their owners. I hope anyone considering a dog or cat for the family, will check out these animals waiting for homes...maybe your home?
Thanks for your visits, dear friends!!! Hope you are warm and snuggly wherever you may be.
Pit Bull puppy rescued from underneath the abandoned building. She seems healthy, so, perhaps we got her off the streets in time.

I had to rescue this Bumble Bee from the snare! It is a Ruderal Bumble Bee and very long! It kicked off the rest of the web with its back legs and happily went on the plant next to the snare on the Sedum!! Go Bumble Bee!!!

This Long-eared owl was found injured and brought to the Wildife park Lueneburger Heide. There the bird has been nursed well. But it can not be released because it is blinded in one eye and won't be able to survive.
About to arrive at Saint-Lambert Station nearly a full twenty-four hours late, VIA 15 has rescue power VIA 907 leading. After having engine issues and then becoming snowbound at Rimouski, CN sent rescue power to take the train from there to Sainte-Foy, where VIA 907 replaced the two CN units. I believe this is the first time a GE runs on VIA 14/15.
I got out in the garden today and cleared away all the dead stuff. Amongst the tangle of the climing rose, jasmin and clematis I found a single red rose. I am not sure if she is late or early, but thought I'd rescue her from the cold and try out my new light box.

This mountain rescue helicopter was already searching for an injured woman who had called police hours before - we found her and called the police ourselves, then waved it into the area. She was actually uninjured and mentally unstable and taken to hospital
Would you rescue me? Would you get my back?
Would you take my call when I start to crack?
Would you rescue me when I'm by myself?
When I need your love, if I need your help
Would you rescue me?
We don't talk much, not anymore
Broken bottles and slammin' doors
But we still care about each other
Say we care about each other
I know life took us far away
But I still dream 'bout the good old days
When we took care of each other
We were livin' for each other
But I start to wonder, wonder
If I'm slipping under, under
Would you rescue me?

Great day at the activity centre at Lea Valley, North London. This poor young lady fell overboard... but was quickly rescued by the guy in the raft. A moment of excitement, but she was never in any danger,

The cats love my morning routine of putting out food for the chipmunks each morning. Well, almost all of them. One just doesn't seem to get what all the fuss is, hee hee.

It is the unfortunate fate of many a bike to end up at the bottom of the Cam.
This photo was shot in the dawn gloom. I wanted to make it slightly brighter as an image, as it's a bit dark as is, but I didn't want to lose the sense of the morning gloom that seemed to suit the mood of the bike, so in the end I left it mostly as is.
