We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

Real Africa is an ATOL bonded UK safari operator offering safari holidays across Africa.
"Situated on Longstone Rock, a light was requested for
these islands by Sir John Clayton in the late 17th century
and by Captain J. Blackett in 1755 but both were
rejected. Not until 1826 that lighthouse was built. It was,
designed and built by Joseph Nelson is a red and white
circular tower built of rough stone with iron railings around
the lantern gallery. Originally featured Argand lamps with
12 burners, parabolic reflectors 21 inches in diameter and
9 inches deep and a catadioptric optical apparatus. The
cost of the Lighthouse and the dwellings was
approximately £4,771, the lantern alone costing £1,441.
It is most famous as the scene of the Forfarshire wreck
and the exploits of Grace Darling, a daughter of the
keeper in charge. Major alterations were made to the
Lighthouse in 1952 and the light was converted to
electricity. Longstone Lighthouse was converted to
automatic operation in September 1990 and is now
monitored from the Trinity House Operations Control

The Igbo For Progressive And United Nationhood (IPAN) has called on authorities at Embassy of Finland in Abuja to caution Simon Ekpa over his incitement and controversial directives in Nigeria.
The group, in a statement dated 9th December 2022 and obtained by Lekkidirectory.com on Saturday, threatened to hold massive protest at Finnish Embassy in Abuja if Ekpa is not immediately called to order.
The statement, which was signed by Comrade Lawrence Onuzulike, Barr. Arinze Odiari and Mrs. Patience Igwe, the group’s National President, Publicity Secretary and National Treasurer respectively, described Ekpa as “deranged and blood thirsty individual whose aim is to cause chaos, violence and deaths in Nigeria” from his haven in Finland.
Simon Ekpa, who has suddenly become a subject of discussion following his 5-day sit-at-home directive in the southeast, Nigeria, is currently a resident in Finland.
