At the request of the Anglicans living in Hamilton's North End in 1881, Rev. Dr C. Mockridge took steps to establish a small Anglican parish in that part of the city as the trip to Christ Church was a long and bumpy one. A wooden building, once used as a Methodist Church, was purchased and moved to a lot on John St. to serve the new congregation, with the first service being held on 9 July 1882. Rev F Howitt was assigned the first rector, and the small parish became self-sufficient in 1883. The current brick building was completed in the late 19th Century. A parish hall was completed in 1917, although the current one is a rebuild after a 1970 fire but retains many original building materials, including the cornerstone. And while it closed in 2017, it was reopened by the Community of Common Prayer in 2019.

2018 - Day 1 - Comiccon Brussels
Stanislav Yanevski(BUL) We've received so many request after the next actor's appearance at Comic Con Gent this summer that we decided to invite him for Comic Con Brussels! This February hold on to your broomsticks, don't call it a comeback, here is Stanislav Yanevski(BUL) known as none other than the original Viktor Krum! The Durmstrang Champion, arguably the world's best Seeker and Hermione's first love interest, the famous Bulgarian Seeker and Champion in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! He was chosen from 650 other people who auditioned for the part. He was a dark and mysterious character in the movies, but had a lot of sympathy from his numerous fans for his Quidditch accomplishments. Gathering all his courage he even asked Hermione out to the Yule Ball and even though he has a quiet and reserved exterior Hermione later on said he was a genuinely nice person and a gentleman. He also starred in Hostel: Part II by Quentin Tarantino's protege Eli Roth. He'll be a guest at Comic Con Brussels 2018 and will be available for autographs and photoshoots.

I really enjoy street photography and want to shoot more of it. I love the challenge of shooting someone at their earnest without them reacting to the camera. This gentleman was just standing in this doorway as I was walking down the street. I literally did a ninja turn with my camera, snapped off a shot real quick, and continued walking. By the looks his reaction, my ninja prowess left him unfazed - a sign of true ninja.
3FM Serious Request draait dit jaar om meisjes en vrouwen die slachtoffer zijn van seksueel geweld in conflictgebieden. 3FM Serious Request 2014 vraagt aandacht voor een stille ramp die miljoenen vrouwen treft en beschadigt. 3FM-DJ’s Coen Swijnenberg, Gerard Ekdom en Domien Verschuuren in het Glazen Huis in Haarlem willen deze vrouwen een stem geven en zoveel mogelijk geld inzamelen voor het Rode Kruis, zodat zij opgevangen worden en een leven kunnen opbouwen. Onder anderen Ben Saunders, Miss Montreal, Martijn Koning en Pieter Derks traden dinsdagavond op in poppodium Metropool in Hengelo voor Circus Request van 3FM. Deejay Giel Beelen van 3FM trekt met artiesten langs verschillende podia in Nederland om met de optredens zoveel mogelijk geld op te halen voor de jaarlijkse actie Serious Request van de radiozender. Dit jaar gaat de opbrengst naar moeders die geraakt zijn door oorlogssituaties.

Still heavily work in progress, the objective is to make the game look like the Nevada Desert does in real life, blue, white, washed out yellow...

This is the lighthouse at South Haven, MI and no, it isn't mirror reversed. It was taken from the South Pier this time rather than the direction of the North Pier. It was taken later the afternoon of 9/10/01, the same day my friend and I had taken the storm wave photos, some of which I've already posted on Flickr.
The title came to pass after a CA friend on another website, knowing that I had gone to Michigan to shoot with our mutual friend, requested that I come on and post a lighthouse photo from the trip, so I posted this one and being a silhouette, came to call it "Silhouette by Request".
It was also one that my MI friend, Gary Martin, had printed an 11x14 for me, which I had Inner Images, a MI gallery mat and frame for me. Gary, knowing that her (the gallery owner) Nov.-Dec. Christmas exhibit was coming up, asked me if I wanted him to see if she would exhibit this one of mine -- which was fine with her, so this wound up being one of several photos from different people on exhibit in her gallery from Nov. 1-the week before Christmas 2001. I, not knowing of course if I'd ever again have a photo on exhibit, decided to go back to MI for the Dec. gallery hop, which is the 1st Friday of each month, so that I could see it on exhibit in person. It didn't sell and hardly anyone showed, but that was unfortuately because the gallery owner did not get in the publicity for the gallery hop in time for people to know. I have a couple photos that Gary took of me standing next to my matted and framed photo, but don't know where they are right now. It was also exhibited since then in a Tewksbury Library exhibit from Sept. 6-30, 2005.

As requested by Vexatious, I present the inside of my bathroom vanity. And yes, a bunch of stuff was removed so the sink and pipes could be seen. Trust me, my vanity is not, never has been, and never will be, as barren as my fridge.
