Another perpetual calendar, this one made with very vintage sewing pattern packaging. They just need the magnets added to the back. I need to figure out what metal sewing related item to stick them on.
This is from a Mandarina Duck
bag given to me by Elysa...
the plastic bag, not the MD bag.
It was really tough and actually
made it through the mail great.

This old Kentucky cabinet has a new lease on life after Kevin Mitchell resurrected it by changing the hardware, doors and feet to create a wonderfully eclectic mix of re-purposed materials.

This simple billfold is made from cardboard packaging from a sugar cookie box! Perfect to tuck some cash or a gift card into for your favorite student going back to school! It measures 8" long x 3 3/4" high.
finished! I love it, even on my old cookie sheet. I need that one though, so I'll try to get my hands on another one.
This perpetual calendar is created with 50 collage magnets made from retro images from books and old cookbooks. The magnets have a baking/retro theme which inspired me to display it on one of my old cookie sheets! You can use it on your fridge, your own old cookie sheet, or any other magnetic space just calling out for a super cool perpetual calendar!
Each magnet is created by gluing 4 paper circles together measuring 1.5" in diameter that have been cut from old cookbooks and other books, then a 1" magnet is attached to the back.
Needs a cushion & some jazzing up, but I think it's a keeper.
p.s. This is not my idea. I saw it somewhere & decided to try it.

I bought this big ugly blue thing to house my fabric and sewing/craft stuff as it has spilled over to nearly every room. E thinks it is an excellent play thing. Mister said it nearly came to blows when he went to get it. There were a group of ladies mulling it over.

This is super neat: A set of railway tracks running through Helsinki were removed and replaced with a whole park, complete with basketball and table tennis.
Until recently there was a corridor here with offices on both the left and right. In the near future this will be a flexible “learning space” where teachers and students can learn in new ways.
What does that mean? I’ll let you know when I find out.
I think it fascinating that modern buildings (13 years old in this case) are really just a shell and you can change the usage and layout almost as easily as you can build a lego house.
