This necklace was made from a child's wooden puzzle piece wich has been covered in pretty paper.
It is coated in a super thick glass like gloss sealer and hangs from an 18 inch ball chain.
Pendant measures 2.5 inches across by 2 inches high
I'm calling it the 50 bags bag because it took about 50 A&P grocery bags cut into plarn and crocheted to make it.
Repurposed vintage jewelry necklace. Handmade, wire wrapped vintage beads, vintage rhinestones. dabchick vintage gems
Another perpetual calendar, this one made with very vintage sewing pattern packaging. They just need the magnets added to the back. I need to figure out what metal sewing related item to stick them on.
This is from a Mandarina Duck
bag given to me by Elysa...
the plastic bag, not the MD bag.
It was really tough and actually
made it through the mail great.
A handful of rusty nails pulled from the old barn lumber. I am repurposing this lumber by using it to build a chicken coop.
Pictures of the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport in New York City on November 5th, 2022. This hotel's central public spaces are in the repurposed TWA Flight Center that served as their global gateway from 1962 to 2001. One of the most iconographic airport buildings in the world, the TWA Flight Center was designed by Eero Saarinen and associates. The large space is known as the Head House, and remains almost as designed for its opening in 1962. Sadly, Saarinen died one year prior to the opening of the building. The TWA Hotel opened in 2019 and was a major project to save the building that remained empty at JFK Airport from 2001 until 2015 when the plans were announced. Two additional buildings were added to house the 512 guest rooms. Enjoyed some time in the Constellation plane that serves as a bar. It's called Connie. Pam is an artist at the 2nd OOAK Doll Festival being held at the TWA Hotel from November 2nd through the 5th.
This simple billfold is made from cardboard packaging from a sugar cookie box! Perfect to tuck some cash or a gift card into for your favorite student going back to school! It measures 8" long x 3 3/4" high.
finished! I love it, even on my old cookie sheet. I need that one though, so I'll try to get my hands on another one.
This perpetual calendar is created with 50 collage magnets made from retro images from books and old cookbooks. The magnets have a baking/retro theme which inspired me to display it on one of my old cookie sheets! You can use it on your fridge, your own old cookie sheet, or any other magnetic space just calling out for a super cool perpetual calendar!
Each magnet is created by gluing 4 paper circles together measuring 1.5" in diameter that have been cut from old cookbooks and other books, then a 1" magnet is attached to the back.
Needs a cushion & some jazzing up, but I think it's a keeper.
p.s. This is not my idea. I saw it somewhere & decided to try it.
Purse made from repurposed materials: old knitted sweater that was felted, scrap yarn and notions from other projects. Leather handle, magnetic closure, and fully lined.
