Dropped my N8, even though it was in a rubber wrap, it broke the lug keeping one end of the battery cover on.
Ebay to the rescue - I found one online for less than £4, and with the great instructions from

I have now replaced the part :)
The original two on KHL were very tired. Two identical style spares were found but were too long - they must have come from a single decker. They were cut down and shaped, rubbed down and the holes that were in the wrong place were filled. Here they are ready for painting

The doc connector does not fit quite right, because of the glue between the replacement housing and the original chrome trim Also the plastic around the connector is cracking.

My replacement camera came.
I am officially all set for my vacation.
I'm too paranoid to go out this weekend and take any pictures so I'm only using the new camera for my 365 and MSH pics for now. It'll get a real workout in Vegas.
buba was a little blue alien with purple antlers who traveled around with my sister and i - over the summer, the original buba decided to strike it out on his own and left for his own adventures in sequoia national park, so now my sister has this replacement buba.
Considering how badly this was slipping after 62,000 miles, it looked quite good. The flywheel looked brand new.
