This seemingly innocuous rendering of downtown LA's Broadway Theater district illustrates the major changes ahead to the historic district. A new group, Bringing Back Broadway (.com) has organized city leaders and property owners into renovating their structures with a common goal of reigniting a spark into the bustling, but aged neighborhood. Sadly, the group has released this illustration which shows a bustling shopping district with theaters that have been stripped of their movie marquees and, in the case of the 1910 Cameo Theater, stripped of its original facade as well.
I recently wrote Councilman José Huizar who is supporting this initiative and I protested the group's illustrated plan to strip theater marquees and historic facades from the district. I received a reply from Jessica Wethington McLean, Huizar's Planning and Economic Development Director, who stated: "Be assured, none of the historic elements along Broadway are intended to be removed, in fact, they are intended to be restored as much as possible." Yet this rendering, published by the Bringing Back Broadway group, completely contradicts her words.
Perhaps the above illustration is incorrect. Perhaps the theater district's marquees will not be removed or any historic theater facades destroyed. Perhaps this rendering of the group's proposed plans are a mistake, but why is such a destructive mistake being promoted on the group's website?
I just don't know if I can trust Bringing Back Broadway based on this one rendered proposal. If this is their plan for the future of Broadway, I will not support it.

These are costume rendering sketches from my past- most were drawn 20 to 30 years ago for classes or shows.
This "Aztec" costume was built for my 1st partner Mark when we were together. He worked as a reservations agent for a major airline, and took reservations in their "Mexican Bureau," so I made him a flashy showboy-type Aztec costume. He won a trip to London with this costume. Unfortunately, back in those days, he could only take a wife along; significant others, female or male, were not allowed, and he ended up giving the pass away.

此小車的價值並不是只有它具有多重要的性能及其功能性之強大。
雖然此小車的身軀嬌小但是力量卻不輸給比它大好幾倍的大卡車，這設計的概念是起於大自然界中的昆蟲，身體雖小但力量卻是力大無窮。
理念即能夠搬移比自己更大的商品或者是可以處理更多的事務來完成我們的需求。因此我們設計此多元化的小車稱之為「Power +」。
這「Power +」除了可以用於自家用的小汽車之外，還能擔當建築工地中重型卡車搬運貨物的重任。此小汽車是一人乘座的並且可以前往不同的目的地，配合它的特殊裝備來完成各種不同的任務。
此「Power +」的特點不僅僅有小的價值並且有相當高的機動性，這是重型大卡車所做不到的，並可以解決相當多的問題。由於「Power +」能夠安裝許多的特殊概念設計並有不同的用途，例如：搬運貨物、救援行動、軍事方面的搬運等等的任務。

The value of small car isn't only small value that it has important meanings and functions. Through its body is small but it full of power.
The design ideas derive from many kinds of powerful small insects in nature.
The meaning of our design car can move bigger goods than itself or draw more one times thing than itself and so our design the multi-functions car - " POWER+ ".
" POWER+ " is small car but it can as heavy trucks in construction site for engineering. In general, the " POWER+ " is a small car of single seat and the worker can drive it to the destination where he want to go in the same home's car, when he reach, the both sides of “POWER+” body equipped special mechanism.
It composes of any different equipments for the needs.
The features of " POWER+ " are small value and high mobility so it can deeply reach any sites where heavy trucks can't go. It is quite helpful. Because of the " POWER+ " install many special concepts. So it can more develop many multiple functions. It can use many kinds of special function in vehicle for example, cargo fire, rescue …...etc.
