May, 2011 - Progea International celebrates 20th Anniversary with distributors at Maranello (Modena)
My old build of the Team Losi - GTX. The paint job is similar to the RC10, mostly because I had paint left over.
Just one of those days. Wasn't too enthusiastic about drawing or drawing this. I have some mixed media and knitting (remember knitting?) projects I started last night that are holding my interest.
When you shoot your opponent's tank, they get shocked through the controller. Metal strips on the top and bottom, on both hands. Like holding on to an electric fence. Sort of.
Hess got 'em for Christmas.
Here is the main control panel for the entire fleet of Canadian Navy Ships. The Red, Green, and Blue buttons deploy our fleet of three canoes whilest (that means 'while' but sounds kinda stranger) the Yellow button engages our single Dingy ... (we aquired that in a multi-dollar deal from KMart during a blue light special).
happy turkey day to all and to all a happy turkey day! isn't that phrasing repetitive? i've never understood the need to say it twice like that. i guess i'm just not a stop-motion holiday movie character. oh well, next time around. anyway it was a great day, just my parents and my cats and i. back home and all fooded out. still room for some leftover chardonnay experienced from the classiest glass around. the battery on my camera decided to crap out, even after a full charge, so i used my roomie's camera complete with remote control. yes, she is indeed a fancy pants. i'm sorry to say remote control technology has gotten the best of me tonight and this is closest thing to victory i could claim.
I have had a remote control system in my ceiling fan. When it quites, so does the my ceiling fan. I am in the dark till I can get assistance from my Dad.
This is the second remote control system I have had installed and each have lasted 2 years. I am not reinstalling a new one and just going to come up with another plan!
Remote control I encountered in a hotel room somewhere. Boulder, Colorado, I think.

365 - The 2010 Edition * August 9, 2010
Went to the doctor today, and got that "how the hell am *I* s'posed to know" look.. I also got a shot, and a prescription that I could get filled if I thought I really needed it.. Do I wanna fill the prescription - or do I wanna take a chance and see if I need to miss another day of work tomorrow? Hmmm...
Anyway, I spent most of the afternoon in the recliner, cuddled up with the remotes.. I actually only need two of these on a daily basis - but I can't seem to get rid of the other 6 or 7 that lay around on the table.. One for each piece of electronic necessity - and some unnecessary ones.. The TV, the VCR (yes - still...) the DVD player (the blue-ray is in the other room..), and the CD player - those all need to stay nearby - the others ought to be living somewhere else.
One of these is a "Universal Remote" - but of course - not really... It can be programmed to turn things on and off, but it doesn't really control all the finer functions of things.. I suppose I'll reprogram it to work with the new TV and other equipment sooner or later - sometime when my head isn't swimming from the medications I got today... (grins..)
Compare the cab with the smashed cab in the previous series. This is after much cementing, filling, sanding and repainting! All of which, I am sure, will eventually be a waste of time after the next inevitable accident! I do have a couple of spare cabs now (and virtually every other mechanical spare part should I need it)!
In some of the pics you can see the tail still has a slight downward bend. I do have a complete replacement assembly which I will probably attached while I do a better repair on the original unit. If you think you can see tape across the canopy "glass", that's because you can. Two layers of clear parcel tape, in fact. This is to guard the canopy against cracking on those occasions when the balance bar strikes it - and that can occur either if you make too violent a control input; or you crash; or even when the onboard battery dies.
