They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shell not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

It's one little piece of my childhood lol, what child who grew up in the 90's didn't play this little masterpiece?

another message from the slaughterhouse in Hämeenlinna that is almost demolished

Honour the fallen heroes

See their last resting place

Perished in the battle of nations

Where they found eternal peace

Do you know the use of their decorations?

Awarded for patriotism

They left their life in fire

But don't know even why

To the command of despotic dictators

They marched to fight in a senseless war

Most of them were just puppets and children

The battle was lost before it began

Brotherly in heart and hand

Know that they never come back

With combined effort

And the believe in god

Their duty only as cannon fodder

Kamikaze as living bombs

Driven into the open knife

Deceitful and malicious

Their tormented souls will never rest

To pay us back for their innocent death

No quarter shed our proud blood

Retaliation on the warpath

Remember the fallen

Remember the fallen

I see you standing among them all

Standing so strong ,proud and tall

The world looks at you, but does not see

Everything you sacrifice to keep us free

I'm here to say, to let you know

That you are loved, even if it doesn't show

You fight for our hopes, dreams, and liberty

You fight for our freedom...... A hero to be

We want you to know, your never alone

For we are waiting, for you to come home

But the hardest thing for a person to be

Is you.. A SOLDIER, fighting

To keep us free

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES

WHO HAS SACRIFICED SO MUCH...

TO KEEP US ALL SAFE AND FREE......

I remember this afternoon being very windy and could not get the wildflowers to keep from shaking as the wind blew by. This was the best of several photo takes.

Hope you have a sunny Friday and weekend!

To lead a life that goes beyond pettiness and prejudice and always wanting to make sure that everything turns out on our own terms, to lead a more passionate, full, and delightful life than that, we must realize we can endure a lot of pain and pleasure for the sake of finding out who we are and what this world is. --Pema Chodron

I am a person blessed with good health, but I remember the exact moment I thought I was going to die.

It was a late spring afternoon, collecting browse for an ailing possum when I was stung by paper wasps. I had been stung, bitten and scratched by nasties before so thought nothing of the incident. Sometime later a tingling of the lips began. The tingling progressed to an insane scalp itch whilst driving home.

Under a cold shower I noticed huge welts covering my torso. My eyes and lips began to swell and I knew something was wrong. I called out to my husband and remember vaguely being pulled dripping into some clothes with the word NOW ringing in my ears. Memories from then on are of desperate wheezing and clawing of nails on skin. An overwhelming sensation of helpless heaviness. I was in the end stages of an anaphylactic shock.

I owe my life to adrenalin. I carry some with me now all the time.

I remember having a conversation with a co-worker just a couple of months ago about people who operated elevators -- we thought they didn't exist anymore. Not true. You can find one at the 190th St station.

Hundreds of tokens of grief and thousands of candles are being left at the site where 21 people where crushed to death at the Love Parade music festival in Dusiburg, Germany on July 24th 2010.

For our tomorrow they gave their today.

Now maybe I'll remember. If you have a Capresso Infiniti and you're using a Hario V60 with a 60-90 sec. pre-infusion, that's the setting I'd recommend. Tasty results should ensue. ... More...

I remember who

she was,

I remember the

things we did

together, the places

we went and even

her name but I was

so full of hate and

looking for revenge

I didnt care who it

was as long as it

was someone.

I pray that one day

she will be reborn

into a better world
