We ended up walking from hotel to a local mall, which was surprisingly busy given that it was a local holiday... This display was on the way, at a store closed for the holiday.

I love these cuties and I got them for our wedding cake 8 years ago but we never used them. They have been in the closet ever since. This past weeks as my own recommended physical therapy I have decided to resort and let go of collectibles I know I will never display or buy again. Some have already been sold and I will never think of them again but this one...I think I need at least a picture for reminiscing.

This is one of the buildings at an abandoned ranch on Poison Creek Road, south of Grand View, Idaho. Many thanks to Chuck Knowles for the directions to this location.

This is my first attempt at using textures. This started as a 3 shot tonemapped HDR image which was shot a half hour past sunset, so my exposures were 15, 30, and 60 seconds. I then used textures from SkeletalMess who has lots of great free textures.

For this, I used Aborigine (overlayed at 75% opacity), Parched (overlayed at 50%), and then used Stoned Paper (to create the frame).

That's it, let me know what you think.

Apparently, my grandfather kept a journal of things he overheard at the hospital - most of the things are about pregnancy, getting pregnant, getting un-pregnant, and STDs. All in about 1932-1936. There is some really, funny, candid stuff in here! Well. Funny, if you have a pretty dark sense of humor.

You know what's wild? There is a whole generation of young people that have never even touched these things!

Found these at my sister's place.

Poor don got in another car accident. People just want to run into his car, for some reason. That's why we had to go out.

my brother in law norbie lost his leg in vietnam and later died from agent orange. his name is not on the wall but he surely he died from it. if you knew him you never thought of him as handicapped. he was a great guy. and when I followed the the traveling wall on its way to eden and I saw all the people lining the country roads waving flags and cheering tears came to my eyes and I thought norbie the remember... to my brother in law, co worker next door neighbor, and best friend thank you you will be missed but now they remember

" ... the same as a spectacular Vogue magazine, remember that no matter how close you follow the jumps: Continued on page whatever. No matter how careful you are, there's going to be the sense you missed something, the collapsed feeling under your skin that you didn't experience it all. There's that fallen heart feeling that you rushed right through the moments where you should've been paying attention. Well, get used to that feeling. That's how your whole life will feel some day. This is all practice. None of this matters. We're just warming up.”

And all my uphill clawing

My dear

But if i make

The pearly gates

Do my best to make a drawing

Of God and Lucifer

A boy and girl

An angel kissin on a sinner

A monkey and a man

A marching band

All around the frightened trapeze swinger

The red squirrel eats mostly the seeds of trees, neatly stripping conifer cones to get at the seeds within. Fungi, nuts (especially hazelnuts but also beech and chestnuts), berries, young shoots, and meat such as bird eggs are also eaten. Often the bark of trees is removed to allow access to sap. Between 60% and 80% of its active period may be spent foraging and feeding. Excess food is put into caches, either buried or in nooks or holes in trees, and eaten when food is scarce. Although the red squirrel remembers where it created caches at a better-than-chance level, its spatial memory is substantially less accurate and durable than that of grey squirrel; it therefore will often have to search for them when in need, and many caches are never found again. No territories are maintained, and the feeding areas of individuals overlap considerably.

I remember being a kid, comparing the dates on pennies in my pocket, with a friend. "Whoooaaa...1968! That's an old penny!". (I was easily amused and amazed as a child) I kind of had that same feeling with this church...whooooooaaaa 1321! The Dom Church in Utrecht, Netherlands.

A fine model of Halifax Corporation Daimler bus - DCP 851 on the 57 Holywell Green route. Built in the mid-1950s.

Having travelled to work and back every day by bus during the 1960s I am sure I must have used this one at some time! They were the last of the back-door type used by the Corporation. I bought this lovely detailed model in Melton Mowbray recently for just £3.

OMG he sooooo big! Remember that little Toller pup photo I posted back in November? Here he is again at 5 months.

Monday I got a call from Christopher's breeder, she wanted to know if I could watch this little guy for while and possibly start showing him for her, I'm allowed to keep him if I want but for now I agreed to watch over him. So I picked up Chris today and I already find myself falling in love... He is a doll, following me around the house, sleeping at my feet when I'm at the computer, and sucking up to Eve. Hina thinks he is just too cool!
