CBBI with IAIS 513 made its way across the west end of the Iowa Interstate on Nov. 6. After years of trains running here in the dark, it was great to catch this unit in daylight on the west end. It's crossing a bridge east of Hancock, Iowa on a perfect fall day.
My mother was as bright as the sun from the moment she opened her eyes. She had the sweetest smile and the most loving embrace. I still miss her voice calling me: "Poupetta, my soul!"
A short retrospective of the last Christmas that i filmed in my hometown, for some friends of mine who are far away from home... hope you like it !

He really was a complete disgrace. He never expected to be alive after he was abandoned on the street I think. And he was just so happy about it.

If I could I would always work in silence and obscurity, and let my efforts be known by their results.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Today made me a bit nostalgic and I revisited photos I took during our trip to Ireland in May of 2012. I selected this series of photos that I believe I hadn't previously posted so that I could share some of the scenes with you. While there are many places in the world that I haven't visited yet, the home of my ancestors keeps calling me to return. It's a call I'd like to answer in the not too distant future.
Seven years have passed today. Photo of a cemetery on a hill (I think) was taken from a fast moving JR bullet train last year.
The Great East Japan Earthquake of magnitude 9.0 at 2.46 pm on Friday 11 March 2011 did considerable damage in the region, and the large tsunami it created caused very much more. The earthquake was centred 130 km offshore the city of Sendai in Miyagi prefecture on the eastern cost of Honshu Island (the main part of Japan), and was a rare and complex double quake giving a severe duration of about 3 minutes. An area of the seafloor extending 650 km north-south moved typically 10-20 metres horizontally. Japan moved a few metres east and the local coastline subsided half a metre. The tsunami inundated about 560 sq km and resulted in a human death toll of about 19,000 and much damage to coastal ports and towns, with over a million buildings destroyed or partly collapsed. ...And a fabulous spring gathering it was too! Back in April 2015, I was very fortunate to be invited to participate in a Washington, DC weekend get together organized by legendary model, stylist & makeup artist Monica Prata and Vanity Club (then) VP Coleen O'Donnell. Monica gave me my first professional makeovers and the group got a limo tour of DC and pictures at some scenic areas of the city! We all had a marvelous day capped off with a fabulous dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse near the Convention Center! We had such a Memorable Time!
Here Monica took my camera to get a group shot of Stacey, Coleen, Jamie, Robyn, Christina and me on the National Mall!
My ensemble for the event is centered on this lovely floral print lycra blend sheath dress with mesh sleeves from venus.com, Hanes Alive Barely There support hose from onehanesplace.com and my black leather t-strap platform pumps also from venus.com.

So I am editing some pics to frame for xmas(can you believe my ego) This one is a reworking of something I took on a visit to my Mother's birthplace in Italy. One of my favorite "archway" shots love the framing. But note to self remember to check settings before shooting. I think i took most of my pics this day on ISO 1600. sheesh... I can tell you it took a lot of PP to clean up. If you look closely you can actually see the home my mother was born in...stone cottage real medieval setting i can tell you. the whole village still looks like something out of the dark ages ...but! The homes are all being renovated as vacation homes. The interiors are modern and quite comfortable ... it would be a lovely place to stay in the warmer months and there are some wonderful hiking trails all around. ah...maybe someday...
this is going to be long wait... we are confined to our houses, except for necessary shopping, go to the farmacy.
Until things change for the better, it will be dumpster diving for photos....

Back in April our DC Area Trans Ladies' MeetUp Group held its "Spring Fling" Soirée and this was my outfit for welcoming Spring! I think it looks quite fetching!
