Zihuatanejo Centro has 7 bronze statues of women representing the seven regions of the State of Guerrero.

The statues are by local sculptor Crescencio Oregón made approximately 20 years ago when Armando Federico González was mayor of Zihuatanejo.

González commissioned them but they sat unnoticed in a little used park until about 10 years ago when another mayor, Alejandro Bravo, decided to relocate them to the downtown area along the waterfront and the first couple of city blocks.

This statue is for the region of La Montãna (The Mountain). Most of the people in this region are indigenous groups of different ethnicity and dialects. The region is remote, mountainous and typically connected only by dirt roads.

Some streets in Centro Zihuatanejo are pedestrian only (this is one). The statue is at the intersection of Av. Cuauhtémoc & Pedro Ascencio. COVID-19 has emptied the streets and closed businesses. The city is hurting like most.

Christmas Day at Old Linslade

Out with Paul Farrell this evening at Meols. The owner of Sue, one of my favourite boats here, has moved her mooring hence the title.

I found this little 8-legged friend in the upside down water bowl in my bearded dragon's outdoor enclosure. I was just cleaning it out today and getting it ready for whenever it's going to be warm enough for the dragon to stay out there for the summer, and you can imagine my surprise when I saw this! It was really pretty and I'm pretty sure I have the correct ID, but please correct me if I'm wrong! She was relocated to the front yard away from the dogs and lizard.

It's done all the time...

Not that we stole anything. We were moving this historical treasure to another location.

A good day to take our spacecraft for a spin! Just a short trip around the block, to re-dock to the zenith Space Station port and free up the forward parking spot for upcoming spacecraft, yes, there’s a lot of traffic up here! It felt good to put on our spacesuits and leave the International Space Station… just for a little while, it’s not time to go home just yet. 😃

Since my boyfriend moved in with me in January the closet/doll room was reassigned as his computer room/ mancave. Since my house is not that big, all of the dolls now live in the living room. It is kinda nice that i can now see them from the couch when i watch t.v.

The Spirit of Tasmania will be reolcating to Gelong which is a bit of a shame because she makes a great subject to photograph.

This brown chafer (Serica brunnea) had taken a wrong turn somewhere and was crawling around inside my house when my wife found it.

So with the camera in my other hand, I brought it outside into the garden and placed it on a random pink flower for an impromptu photo session and this one came out better than expected.

Pennsy Position Light Farewell Tour - Part 5

This is not a new signal location, this is a repeat of the signals seen in this post:

So, after getting our fill of Johnstown and doing a little exploring some new areas John decided it was time to relocate back to Summerhill and the famed Automatic 263.7 signals for another round. The Pittsburgh Line didn't dissapoint as we shot 6 trains in the span of 45 minutes back here!

Nice variety too in both motive power and train types. Alas I don't know the symbols of any of these (if you care about that sort of thing), but here are six shots, one of each train shot in the 45 min span!

Man, the old PRR mainline sure is one hopping railroad!

Train #5 was a little varnish in the form of Amtrak's westbound Pennsylvanian train #43 on Track 3.

Most spiders don't enjoy the indoor climate here very much. It is generally way to dry for them and even though they might be drawn to the warmer temperatures, the low humitidy will kill them (with some exceptions).

The common candy-striped spider (Enoplognatha ovata) like this male are definitely better off outside so when I found him on a wall inside I swiftly relocated him to the garden - and took a couple of shots of course!

The "candy stripe" part of the name is a reference to the female which is a paler colour with a pinkish-red stripe along the abdomen.

During WW2 Retford train station in Retford, Nottinghamshire was on a busy railway junction, many WVS volunteers passed through the station and used its facilities, at its peak between 1940 and 1946, the station kitchen served over 1,000 meals per day.

A threatened species these zebras have found their natural habitat more and more encroached upon. There are active programs to relocate some to other areas and so to give them a chance to recover.

So I don't know what gets into me sometimes but I ended up with this conservative plaid suit and well....thought what better place to hide until the trial, than as a quiet librarian!...lol

I plowed snow myself for 4 years, so it's nice at this point to be able to enjoy a snow storm for it's beauty instead of burning myself out.

I like this bob hairstyle, and the whole look is completely different than most of my things. Its kind of fun to change it up. (smile)
