Did some rocky product shots for a client. I rejected this one myself. Can you guess why?

Back in 1999, I was part of a ragtag band of dotcom rejects that helped to launch Foreign Cinema. Eight and a half years later, which is a lifetime in restaurant years, the place still is going strong.

To celebrate the 8 1/2 anniversary, the restaurant pulled out all the stops, in classic Foreign Cinema (and Fellini) style. Fire juggling: check. Burlesque dancers: check. Live bands and human instruments (literally): check. A city of hipsters waiting anxiously for their Burning Man tickets to arrive in the mail: check.

And, yes, there was plenty of food and drink, including some special cocktails just for the evening. And what an evening it was.

I did the pansy face the first time using whole flowers and it just did not look that exciting. So i pulled them off and tore them apart for the photos i ended up choosing.
