We've been having wonderful summer temperatures over here this week......so I've been out enjoying them. I was at the zoo yesterday in sandals & summer clothes (along with hundreds of other happy Manitobans).

The red panda's can be found in the tropical "house" inside a sort of cave/tunnel with regulated temperatures, so lighting conditions are poor and you have to shoot through glass. I waited patiently for this fellow to come right up to me and was rewarded with this picture.

The Schwarzach (Czech: Nemanický potok) is a river with its spring in the Czech Republic and its estuary in Bavaria.

It passes through Waldmünchen, Rötz and Neunburg vorm Wald, and flows into the Naab near Schwarzenfeld. It is one of the last non-regulated and meandering river in Bavaria.

Weir complex Hagestein at Dawn. This weir complex regulates the level of water in the River Neder-Rijn, which means that it is closed for some 265 days a year. Ships are then able to pass through a lock 220 metres long. Alongside this lock is the weir, consisting of two abutments and a central pier slung between which are two so-called visor gates. The weir service buildings sit atop concrete piers supported by arches and reached up a steel spiral stair. These concrete assemblies give the complex its distinctive civil engineering look.
