Blossom Home Refresh by Blossom World Society

Blossom World’s Home Refresh Series 5 was concluded on 28 September, Saturday! Our cleaning and painting quest continues in the Western part of Singapore, specifically in Bukit Batok and Jurong West.

Thank you to all volunteers of diverse backgrounds for coming here today with the #SpiritOfCaring to our beneficiaries in fostering social cohesion and multi-generation interaction in the Bukit Batok and Jurong neighbourhoods.

Once again, we would like to show our appreciation for the support by Jurong Central, Bukit Batok & Bukit Batok East IRCCs, South West CDC and Bukit Gombak Grassroots Organisations towards our youth-led initiative. Special thanks also go to Mediacorp Cares group, NP Leo Club, NYP Community Service Club, SP Swimming Club, NP Rotaract Club, SP Student Union, SUTD Rotaract Club and SP String Ensemble.

Once upon a time back in yesteryears I was in college and in college I brought in a picture of a can that I had taken for the class. When I took it in he asked me to take more and every week the lecturer continued to ask me to take more of them by the end of it all i was a little bit sick of taking pictures of cans. Today I had a can of 7up and it reminded me of the whole course I was on and although I might have been a little sick back then with the amount of pictures of cans I actually took, today i kept clicking my camera and this is one of the pictures.

I'm not really sure on it I feel that it maybe needs cropping but I am not 100% sure where would be the best place too.

Everybody has the ability to start something. To some it may seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. This talk will be a frank discussion about ways to start and deliver successful products.

Building mobile apps provides a unique perspective into the challenges of creating successful products. An app can have different users, business goals, design, development and marketing challenges. Based on experiences and insights Chris will share some real world examples, you will hear about what worked, and what doesn’t, tales of starting from nothing, to thinking and delivering big.

Chris runs Belfast-based mobile user-experience company Ecliptic Labs, which acts as an incubator to excellent products such as Performa Sports. Since 2009 he has worked with over 60 companies from startups to global brands delivering mobile apps.

Refresh is a bi-monthly event for the designers and developers of Belfast's web community to get together to share stories, discuss ideas, talk about principles and debate technique. Each Refresh is centred around a short talk and, of course, there's plenty of beer and conversation to be had too.
