The Parnell Avenue Bridge over the St. Joseph River.

After all of the macros, I needed to photograph something a little larger. I was on the other side of the river walking back down the Greenway when I noticed the reflection.

Reflection of St. Boniface window in mirror of organ at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 256 N. Ohio in Wichita Kansas. Built in 1902-1905 by the German Catholic community to serve the German speaking population in the parish. It is considered the oldest catholic church in Wichita.

The stained glass windows are very rare. They cannot be replaced today. The pigment is burned into the glass and the process is no longer used today. The windows were made in Germany, packed in straw, loaded on boats and shipped to America. Once in Wichita, workman followed a diagram to piece the windows together. Most of the inscriptions on the windows are in German.

The parish was originallyh named for St. Boniface, patron saint of the Germans. The inscription reads: "To the memory of H.H. Debrecht.

I love the way the slight curvature of the windows has magnified and dissected various details of the reflected building. The reflection is of the Allen County Courthouse, Ft. Wayne, IN.

There are so amazing photographer on flickr and I have been inspired by so many of them.

I was looking for somewhere to take photos with reflection today.

Today was not cold and actually raining again! Snow in Sapporo is disappearing finally and I hope this rain is not gonna change to snow like last night. Sorry for those loves going skiing or snowboarding, but I am happy that it is getting warmer.
