A hazy overcast day due to wildfire smoke made for muted colors in these rocks but the shapes and textures compensated for the light. Montana.

Many who visit Pisa only see the tower and the main square. It is worth taking a walk along the old wall to the river (3km) and walk back initially along the river.

reflections of some peaks at the Gandasee

In the immortal words of Monty Python, "Now for something completely different". I start with this because most of my recent work, is regarding the landscape instead of architectural. This will not win any architectural photo awards, considering the presence of people, however it rendered a most interesting image.

This is the front foyer (pronounced, foi a/. and not foi er) of BC Place. And, it is extremely interesting how my camera sees this unique entrance, vs my eyes. At certain times of the day, the special ceiling lighting reflects off the floor, delivering an almost spider web like atmosphere. This shot was achieved just before I was politely requested to move along.

This is part of the Great Dismal Swamp. This particular area is recovering after a severe fire in 2011. The water here is very black, but the reflections are so beautiful.
