I fell like I have been in hibernation over the last 2 months! Winter in Australia is really nothing to complain about, but the cold morning of late have got the better of me, that or i have just been lazy and wanted to sleep in...A 3.15am wake up and in the car on the way to something worth taking photos of. Despite a lot of clouds and some early rain and my feet white cold and numb i got some ok shots i think.

The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.

Eleventh picture of my series Reflections, all taken in the Albufera of Valencia.
(This time looking for the abstract lines and reflections of the canes and clouds over the water)
Albufera means, according to its Arab origin, small sea.
In some poems it was called the Mirror of the Sun.
On the technical side, say that I only used a neutral gradient three steps filter.
I hope you like it. Have a nice Thursday. :)

Reflections in the window of an independent vintage clothes shop at the top of Catherine's hill, Frome.
A view across the Ebro river to Ferreries. Ferreries is the 'other side' of Tortosa- here laborers lived and worked in factories and shops. In the background the Ports mountains.
With the extremely low waterlevels the graffiti on the wall becomes more relevant: 'The river is Life- no to river diversion.'

Sorry for the mixup of the recently uploaded photos. Today I was in a mood for reflections and pink-purple tones. So I found this image in my Duesseldorf archives.
Peaceful scene of mountain reflections in a kettle lake along the Richardson Highway in Alaska. As always, thanks for your comments and have a great week ahead!
A cozy evening at the lake... This one unique combination of colours and a clear reflection... Makes a perfect shot
From my workshop this summer in the Netherlands. I edited the shot with the JD Autumn Tones Actions which release Thursday.
I know domes are everywhere these days but couldn't resist these shots in Sheffield Peace Gardens this morning
