In October 2019, Conde Nast, named the resort one of the top five resorts in the Pacific Northwest.
The enhancements included guest arrival and landscaping, upgrades to the lobby and attic lounge, a new luxury glamping experience, a treetop canopy tour and ropes challenge course, high-energy mountain biking trails and technical features, and new curated art programs. Alpha Wave contracted Portland-based ELK Collective to lead the design efforts and hired Portfolio Hotels & Resorts to manage the resort.
In August, 2024 Alpha Wave Investors refinanced a 3 hotel portfolio (Salishan Coastal Lodge by SCP, the SCP Colorado Springs Hotel, and the SCP Depoe Bay Hotel) for $36.6 million at a blended interest rate of 7.67%. "We are grateful to our long-time strategic lending partner, Sunwest Bank, and to our new tactical lending partner, Edgewood Capital Advisors, for their solution-oriented approach to this refinancing," said Ken Cruse, founder and CEO of Alpha Wave Investors and Soul Community Planet (SCP).
