But probably not a good entry as it doesn't really fit the rules ;)
One of the things I try to do is to get the White Balance just right. Typically, this is done via Gray card to set the white balance in the camera or as done here, in post processing.
What you have here is a WhiBal™ White Balance Reference Card courtesy of my friend Bob. I bet a gray card is cheaper, But I like that Michael Tapes came up with this and marketed it.
Top is RAW with "As shot" White balance, the bottom is with it set via the White Balance Eye Dropper tool. The difference in color is subtle but noticeable.
Okinawa, Japan (April 15, 2005)--Aviation Machinist Mates assigned to the "Fighting Tigers" of Patrol Squadron EIGHT (VP-8) work together to lower an auxiliary power unit (APU) of a P-3C Orion. The APU is a relatively small self-contained generator used to start the main engines with compressed air, and to provide electrical power and air-conditioning while on the ground. The APU can be operated in flight for electrical power use, but bleed air is not available. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer’s Mate 3rd Class Shannon R. Smith.
