Grey Point Fort (map reference J45698325) is a battery located at Helen's Bay on the south side of Belfast Lough. It was part of the defences of Belfast.

Construction of the battery began in 1904, with the guns mounted by 1907.[1] The construction of the battery and another battery on the opposite side of the Lough at Kilroot was noted by the Owen Report of 1905.[2]

The battery was armed with two 6-inch Mark VII Breech loading guns. During the First World War additional buildings were constructed to provide accommodation for men of Kitchener's Army. Following the war, the battery remained in use with two coastal defence search lights being installed in 1936.

Reference Number: 13000594Herbert Hoover National Historic Site is a unit of the National Park Service. It is significant for its association with the life and work of Herbert Clark Hoover, the thirty-first president of the United States who is also honored for his career as an elder statesman, humanitarian, and engineer. It is significant under Criterion A, at the national level, as an outstanding example of a district that commemorates the life and accomplishments of a President of the United States, and Criterion B, at the national level, as the birthplace and boyhood home of Herbert Clark Hoover, the thirty-first president of the United States. It is also significant under Criterion D, at the national level, for its intact archeological deposits, both verified and unverified, associated with the contributing resources of the district. Herbert Hoover NHS was previously listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district on October 15, 1966 and documented in a National Register nomination in 1978. This amendment provides additional information on the history, significance, and resources, including the historic landscape, of the district. The site has two periods of significance. The first encompasses Herbert Hoover's boyhood in West Branch, from his birth in 1874 until1885, when the orphaned Hoover left West Branch to live with relatives in Oregon. The second period of significance is 1935 to 1976, signifying the period in which Herbert Hoover and the Hoover family were actively creating a landscape that would reflect the elements that influenced Hoover's development and character (particularly the rural/agricultural lifestyle and his Quaker faith) and memorialize his accomplishments as a president, humanitarian, and statesman. The period of significance ends in 1976 with the final implementation of the birthplace to gravesite vista, a crucial component of the commemorative landscape.

I walked and surveyed all these roads over the years.

There are a few maps here that survived the 2003 fires, they are still being used by the current staff of ACT Forests, I am pleased to see.

Must look up this book to see if there is any reference to ACT Forests..

Well, this is the reference pic that I used for my mosaic. And, I've been tagged quite a few times, so I am making this my "tagged" photo

1. I have started my own Lego business where I sell nameplates, and custom commissions. I have been doing fairly well, and making some extra cash!

2. I love to read, draw, and build with Lego.

3. I also love architecture.

4. I am possibly doing a pre-engineering class. I am only 14 though, so the teachers are hesitant since the minimum age is supposed to be 15.

5. Because of that, I have to take the ACT tomorrow. And get a 18 in math. Has anyone taking the ACT? If so, what did you get in math?

6. I am sort of nervous. But if God wants me to take the class, than I will make an 18 or more!

7. Lemon Sherbet ice cream rocks.

8. I am running out of fact s to say. That is, facts that are semi-relevant to anything. Or course, this fact saying I am running out of facts isn't very relevant. Soooo...

9. I have improved so much this last year. I look at what I built last year, and I go "wow.. I made that?"

10. I really want to go to a Lego convention.
