I think each has its own attributes.

Strong winds and a mixture of clouds produced this colorful dawn.

The red sun is setting for the super and red moon to come..

Thanks for your faves and kind comments my friends..

Quando il sole trafigge le nuvole, si divide in mille lame di luce, il sole non sembra tramontare e l'osservatore trattiene il respiro,

consapevole che ogni bellezza dura un attimo, è il momento di saperla afferrare.

When the sun pierces the clouds, splitting into a thousand blades of light, the sun doesn't seem to set and the observer holds his breath, aware that every beauty lasts a moment, it's time to know how to grasp it.

Location: Mettnau, Radolfzell, Germany at sunset.

We had two cold but very sunny winterdays with blue sky.

I made some different long exposures of the sunset at my favourite place in the Mettnau Park. The longest was 7 minutes. As I said, for long exposure in the winter you need time, thick clothes and a hot tea. It was really cold. Today in the morning -7° C.

Yesterday I saw the third SUP paddler on the lake and I talked with him. Perhaps he was the first and the second too...;) But I will wait until March with paddling.

This is my initial post for a group called "Sliders Sunday", get it "sliders" as in the adjustment sliders in photo editing software. Sounds like my kind of group, considering I slide everything. Anyway, In truth not sure I love this image, have been sitting on it for some time, but felt it fit the group because I slid the living hell out of this one, and I wanted to make my presence felt in the group, I mean if it is about sliding, then lets slide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)))

Sunrise with some altocumulus lenticularis over Montseny and also it can be appreciable some cirrus spissatus radiatus, also painted in some kind of red.

Very cold morning with a low pressure and humidity and some little wind. Thanks to these facts, there is such good visibility.

Joshua Tree National Park is a great place to experience the beauty of the desert, especially on mornings like this one. This composition was captured using the light of dawn's red sky to illuminate the scene. There was no wind, so I could use a 30 second exposure and have all the grass and leaves look sharp.

Autumn skies can be quite dramatic but you have to be quick.

She wants to bound, prance, jump over gates and fences. But she cant. The sunset doesnt mean anything much to her but I did tell her about it.

The sheep, bottom right, would like to know what he needs to be worried about with the "red sky in the morning, shepherds warning" rubbish!

I haven't tinkered (unusually) with the colours here, it's what the camera produced, but I must admit I don't recall the red colours being quite this vivid and oddly they are not in all the other shots I took with the same camera and settings. Odd!

Picture of the Day x 5

This was Sunday evening down at Highcliffe one of my local beaches. It looked like it was going to be nothing special and then this all happened very briefly so I'm glad I went out. I dont know if the red sky had anything to do with the impending blood moon, which wasn't visible in my location due to too much cloud. Editing is tricky, looks overdone whatever I do

Sunday morning...very early, but it was worth it.

The reflection was so bright, that my neighbor was afraid a nearby stable was on fire.

How great is it, when nature can take our breath away so often?

Such a fiery sunrise, it made my white curtains glow!
