LEDA 1846725 lies in the direction of the Coma Berenices Galaxy Cluster Abell 1656. In fact, one of its many designations has the Abell name as part of it: ABELL 1656:[GMP83] 3744. However, per the NED the redshift for Abell 1656 is z = 0.0233 which would place the cluster some 7 times farther than the host galaxy for SN 2024iss. It could be that the redshift for the host galaxy has a huge cluster motion, but that would be the equivalent about 6,000 km/s towards us relative to the center of the cluster.

The AAVSO has SN 2024iss in its database. Though there are gaps in the data (as of this moment), SN 2024iss may have peaked about magnitude 13.2V around May 31, 2024.

The distance to Abell 1656 has quite a scatter, but assume it is about 100 Mpc or about 330 million light-years. If the host for SN 2024iss is at that distance that would mean this supernova is a superluminous event with an absolute magnitude of about -21.8! However, if the host galaxy is in the foreground with little extraneous motion other than the cosmological component (i.e. due to the expansion of the universe), that would put the galaxy only 13.8 Mpc or about 45 million light-years distant. That would reduce the absolute magnitude to about -17.5. A typical Type II supernova peaks around -17.0. (Note: a Hubble Constant of 72 km/s/Mpc was used for the calculations).

What's the ideal bike for gravel riding? We may be biased but the Rodeo Labs Flaanimal platform will reliably carry us along the varying terrain, with comfort improved by Redshift components (stem, seatpost, bars), and traction provided by WTB tires, sealant. We have Byway, Raddlers and Ventures of varying sizes (mm and wheel size)

The ideal bike is the one you have, and on a PTGT trip, its our highly capable Flaanimal.

We’re so stoked on all of our partners as they are on the point end of design and innovation. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts, and the synergy between our partners has created the best gravel bike fleet ever.

An experimental panorama of my livingroom studio. I've wanted to take this for a while but didn't quite know how, my Pentax showed me the way... this is two frames, side by side, and luckily when they developed it they didn't chop them apart...

Marie-Claire, author of 'How to be a Money Magnet' guest appears on a number of our shows, such as Scarlet Ladies, Business Day-to-Day and Competitive Edge.

And yes, it really is this color!

As it matures it will develop into even richer colors with more red highlights and streaks.
