Probably one of the most important thing a bride looks forward to on her wedding .. Mehendi (An Indian traditional art done on hands and legs with a cone using paste from the leaves of Mehendi tree). As we modernize so does art. Today Mehendi artists have improved themselves so much that some of the art they do are unbelievable !

This is one of the first pictures taken that day. It is difficult to tell by the eye that the Saree is still damp: the folds of the Saree might be a good place to start. By this time all the water had dried off her skin, so no luck there. The only way is, or rather was, to touch and see.

The Lady is back in her first pose, but here the camera chooses to look higher. The way her pallu drapes lazily over her shoulder, the knowledge that it is still damp to touch and her casual pose, combined with the careless locket and the sure chin...
All my time into photography i have always captured nature (living and non living things ) only. This is my first attempt on what is called "fashion" or "model Photography". All comments are Welcomed.

Here both the Lady and her Saree are full on. Indications of dampness are even less here, and touch is/was really the only way.

A funny tradition here in India. On the last day of the 5 day or so wedding party, the groom finally 'takes possession' of his wife. In many cases the groom meets his wife only on that day for the first time (rural Rajasthan) and then it's home, in this case on the leash to his parent's house. I am somewhat glad to have been born on the other side of the world but it's funny to see...
