On June 21 I posted a shot of a Redhead duckling that survived along with seven siblings from that nest. Five days ago I got this shot of what I think is the result of a second clutch by the same mother.
Today I counted all eight from the first clutch. They are almost fully grown.
The little one above was one of only three which I saw last week and again today.
Redhead Ducks are not usually urban pond ducks. It is great to have the opportunity to get so close to them.

Some migratory ducks arrived and I manage to get a shot of this redhead, only the second time I've seen one here.

i really must say the friends im following here who take bird pictures have my respect. . bird photography takes a lot of patience and a very good eye im really a beginner in bird photography.. this is my last pic for a while i will try to post a picture from Rome.. have a great time everyone.. i will catch up with you later..
The Svitzer Redhead (IMO: 9848182) is a tug registered and sailing under the flag of Australia. Her gross tonnage is 499 tonnes, and her overall length (loa) is 32 m. She was built in 2019 by Uzmar Gemi in Basiskele, Turkey is operated by Svitzer Australia Pty Ltd.
I photographed the Svitzer Redhead as she assisted the Northern Justice on her arrival at the Fremantle Inner Harbour on 10 May 2023.
