Pretty orange dragonfly - Eastern Amberwing (Perithemis tenera) against grey sky reflected moving water. Taken at Morikami Gardens Sept 2011.
Getting a red one is so tough as it is always flying around. To have one surrendering to the lens and pose willingly is unexpected

This dragonfly is a valued predator. I found it in a padi field. It provides natural ecology to the environment: it typically eat mosquitoes, and other small insects like flies, bees, ants and butterflies that could be destroying the crop.
Not too sure about this one, but it can't be S. vicinum since it doesn't have yellow legs. Update: Thanks to Chris Early from the Arboretum I know know it's S. obtrusum, yay!
