Brussels Airlines Airbus A320 OO-SNA in the Red Devils livery arrives at East Midlands with flight SN9902 from Ljubljana where it has been stored for a few months, arriving here at EMA for a visit to the paint shop, luckily only to be updated and patched up in places.

Cup Moth larvae are often highly ornamented and brightly coloured. Two main types can be distinguished: larvae armed with rows of protuberances bearing stinging spines called nettle caterpillars, or non-spined forms where the surface of the larvae may by completely smooth, called gelatine caterpillars. The larvae of this family bear no prolegs on their abdominal segments. The larva attaches itself to the substrate by means of an adhesive ventral surface. The movement is like a slug hence their generic name.

A stinging slug caterpillar (like this one) generally bears warning colouration and stinging hairs. These hairs can inject a venom from poison sacs carried at their base that are used as defensive weapons. Reactions can range from a mild itching to a very painful sting.

You will notice I have given each individual a descriptive superhero-style name in the title of the image. The Setora genus have several colour variations - "Red Devil", "Yellow Devil" and "Green Devil". This is for my own reference mainly because practically none of these caterpillars are identified (maybe even ever formally) and this will allow me to group the growing number of images I have into their like-kinds including the various instars I have captured. The names are included as tags.

The calendar wall in my kitchen. February belongs to Manchester United's Anthony Martial. To his right is a bag of plastic lemon juice containers. Why? Because I like them there? And to his left some beads, some Lemon juice labels and some original artwork by none other than Danny Mansmith.

Do I see blue air? A small patch of nice weather was spotted in the afternoon.

The Belgian SF260 Marchettis are quickly running out of time. Their replacement is scheduled for 2023. The successor is not yet known.

Rafales parked on light aviation's runway, I played with these lights and stratus cloudbank incoming at early time, 4h30am.

Finally (!) got out with the cameras. Will catch up on comments in due course.

Unique Class 26 3450 was withdrawn in 2004 and it took a lot of effort to restore it to service in 2018. Whilst it has since hauled a number of passenger services it does not normally get a chance to haul freight. The FarRail tour in 2019 saw Derick du Toit, owner of the Ceres Rail Company, reach agreement for the locomotive to haul a train consisting mainly of wagons loaded with cement plus several vans giving a total weight of around 690 tons. It is seen here a reaching the 1212ft summit at Mowers, 14 miles east of Worcester on the former New Cape Central Railway on a run from Ashton.

This fish comes from Central America and can be kept in home aquariums, but allowance must be made for it's large size - it grows to about 15 inches (38 cm) and aggressive behavior.

Britten-Norman Islander G-AXDH was used by the Red Devils. Whilst its members were part of the British Army's Parachute Regiment, the costs of the display team had to be funded outside government.

Taken on Fujifilm which seems to have distorted the colour somewhat.
