Delevan, Wisconsin. The Delevan Red Devils once had a semi pro football team. From 1919-1931, 1947-1956 and 1967-1982. The Red Devils overall record was 249 wins, 132 losses and 20 ties.

For the ultimate last regular flight of Brussels Airlines to Strasbourg, they decided to send the Trident one (as a gift i would say).
Although I don't think that it was intentional, i couldn't resist to go for him as i really like that livery and especially under the amazing winter's light 😍

4 x USMC F/A-18C's from VMFA 232 "Red Devils" arrive in Lakenheath, to join their compatriots. Unfortunately today, Wednesday October 21st 2015, A short while after departing one of the jets crashed...... with the pilot losing his life...... A sad day.... Condolences to their family and friends....... Semper Fi...
Lijnen met bijna geen verkeer tijdens deze Coronatijden zijn ongetwijfeld de hogesnelheidslijnen tussen België en de buurlanden. Zo rijden er richting Belgisch-Franse grens doordeweeks slechts 4 TGV treinen, één Thalys naar Parijs en één Eurostar naar de Britse hoofdstad. Oorzaak is hiervan het sluiten van de landsgrenzen voor niet essentiële verplaatsingen zowel langs Franse als Belgische kant.
De enige dagelijlse Eurostar richting London heeft een vertrekuur om 14u52 in Brussel Zuid en is dus de ideale kandidaat qua zonnestand om fotografisch vastgelegd te worden aan het begin van de hogesnelheidslijn in Tubize. Dit fotopunt wordt gekruid door een zicht op het viaduct over lijn 96 te Lembeek, de oefenvelden van de #reddevils op de taalgrens en (voor ingewijden) op de weinige hoogbouw die deze streek rijk is namelijk het Heuvelpark in mijn geboortestad.
Wie goed kijkt, ziet ook de toren van de parochiekerk van deelgemeente Lembeek, de Sint Veronuskerk, ook bekend van de Sint Veroonsmars of paasprocessie, een soldatenprocessie die reeds meer dan zevenhonderd jaar uit gaat op paasmaandag ter ere van de patroonheilige van Lembeek, Sint-Veroon, trouwens ook een slachtoffer van de afgelastingen omwille van Covid 19 dit jaar.

Eurostar Velaro 4028/4027 has left Brussels some 10 minutes ago when it was photographed by me at the beginning of the high speed line in Tubize. In these Corona times this train is the only daily connection between the Belgian and British capital. In fact there are only a few trains a day on the high speed line in direction of the Belgian-French border due to the closure of the borders.
In the background one can notice the training grounds of the Belgian #reddevils on the language border between Flanders and Wallonia.

EUR 9141 Brussel Zuid - London St Pancras
From the early 1960s until its replacement at the end of 1970s, the Fouga CM170 Magister was the advanced training aircraft of the Belgium Air Force.
From 1965 till 1977 it was the mount of the Belgian demonstration team: the Red Devils.
After its operational life, this particular airframe went to Israël where it was stored for spare parts, but moved later on to the USA where it was kept in flying condition.
In 2014, it found its way back home and underwent a full restoration. Since 2017, it can be seen again during airshows and other events.
It is captured here, basking in a late spring sun at its former home base of Brustem.
Cincinnati & Lake Erie "Red Devil" lightweight high-speed interurban car 129 (Cincinnati Car Co., 1930), in Lima, Ohio, date uncertain. Note the porter walking back to the car having just thrown a switch using the "switch iron". Car 129 was one of the ten cars (120-129) fitted with a lounge section at the rear, rating the two person crew. B&W print in my collection, photographer unknown.
