Talysis 1 (9min DVD) was made for the Crystalpunk Workshop for Soft Architecture held in Utrecht, Holland, 2005. The film explored elements self-organisation and crystallisation - autocatalytic replication and recursive symmetry using digital video feedback.
#Trump as #Selfie

Experiments with depictions of 2016 American political leaders - Donald Trump primarily and Hillary Clinton by Artist Oli Goldsmith (oligoldsmith.com/). Most resulting images surround depicting Trump, via digital processing methods similar to 'PhotoMosaic' techniques - as groups of imagery scraped from the web relating to the #Selfie genre of self-portrait snapshot popularized on social media and Instagram.
Other images play with #Trump as #Clinton as #Trump - involving recursive levels of initially producing a selection of images of Clinton made of Trump images, then used as foundation to build new Trump representation.
I will for now at least leave any interpretation of imagery as far as implied meanings etc. to viewer.
I typically lean away from overtly political, heavy-handed 'i mean this you must know and should think so too if possible' messaging in my work. While some of the pieces in this body of experimental digital artworks tend toward a fairly simple reading (yes I am suggesting there may be very little actual difference in meaningful outcomes between candidates in #trump as #clinton as #trump recursive mashups!) hopefully the oddness of the imagery itself and range of #SELFIE related and actual selfie images blend in these pictures in unexpected, possibly awkward ideally non-boring ways!
My work tends towards ambiguous and surrealistic compositions that consciously invite viewers to collaborate in exploring my pictures.

Sheer mashup, somewhat recursive, mostly playing around with colors. Assembled with Procreate and further changed with PhotoWizard, PhotoViva, and iPhoto. Collage Chaos No. 41.
This is my first Structure Synth / Sunflow render. I'm just getting my bearings in 3D space with the red, green, and blue cubes. I think this is going to be fun :)

The tower is ASR 1275846, standing on a hill in French Lick, Indiana, with the recursive address "French Lick Tower." It was built in 2010, and is owned by Smithville Telephone, Inc., a family owned company of long standing that also specializes in fiber optic service to homes. I don't see anything that yells "telephony" at me here. All the cellular providers are on three towers on higher sites across town. But on it is W269BU, a translator on 101.9 FM of WFIU/103.7, of Bloomington.
I believe the antenna is a Shively 6812, judging from the shape of its radome.
Official details about both:

From the machine summary display:
- Manufacturer: VMware, Inc
- Model: VMware Virtual Platform
- Processor: Quad Core AMD Opteron Processor 8356 (interesting that this info is exported out to the VM)
The top instance of VI Client is attached to the real hardware host; the bottom instance (with the error dialog) is attached to the ESXi hypervisor running inside of a hypervisor.
The actual physical hardware is a SunFire x4440 with 2 quad core AMD 8356 processors -- 4 is the configuration this system is sold with. This system also has only 1 GB of RAM, though we supports up to 128 GB and we've tested up to 256 GB.
We're currently developing a new product with substantially higher capacity for processors, memory and I/O.
