The Wash
A largely rectangular bay and estuary at the north-west corner of East Anglia where Norfolk meets Lincolnshire.
It is one of the broadest estuaries in the United Kingdom and is fed by the rivers Witham, Welland, Nene and Great Ouse.
It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a Nature Conservation Review Site, a National Nature Reserve, a Ramsar site, a Special Area of Conservation and a Special Protection Area.
It is located within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and part of it is the Snettisham Royal Society for the Protection of Birds Nature Reserve.
Seal Island
One of the many sandbanks in The Wash, only visible at low tide, and where the biggest single colony of Common Seals in Europe is located.
Despite their name, Common Seals are a lot less common in the UK than Grey Seals, and they tend to be found on the east coast.
There are currently over 3,000 seals in the colony.

This is a rectangular triggerfish, also called the humuhumu-nukunuku-ā-pua'a. These are the state fish of Hawaii and are relatively commonly seen. They are definitely favorites to see on the reef.

Capella originalment de planta rectangular i una sola nau. Al s.XVII és modificada i s'hi afegeixen els altars laterals, la sagristia, i també s'allarga la nau i el cor. Absis sobrealçat amb maons amb finestra d'espitllera. El campanar, reformat, és de cadireta de dos ulls. Porta principal adovellada amb doble arquivolta. A l'interior la volta és apuntada. La reforma del 1985 va deixar al descobert la pedra interior i la del frontis. Forma conjunt amb dues masies. Pica baptismal Al museu de les caves Marquès de Monistrol hi ha una pica romànica molt desgastada que probablement probé d'aquesta església. És quasi esfèrica i no presenta cap tipus de decoració.
Notícies històriques:
Les primeres dades de la capella es troben al 1018, era anomenada com a Santa Creu del Palau. A l'any 1414 està inclosa dins de la parròquia de Sant Jaume i en aquest mateix any el rector manà fer el tabernacle. Ha estat modificada en els s.XVI-XVII i restaurada al 1985. Actualment fa funcions de capella i de cementiri.
