Teeccino mimics coffee fairly well. Um, coffee that has chunks of stuff in it. It brews the same way, and develops a familiar shade of dark brown.

Beauvoir in Biloxi, Miss., was the last home of Jefferson Davis, president of the Confederate States of America. The house was built by James Brown as a summer home beginning in 1848 and was completed in 1852. Beauvoir, French for beautiful view, is owned and operated by the Mississippi Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans. For more information about Beauvoir, visit beauvoir.org

 

As part of the Hurricane Recovery Program, NCPTT assisted FEMA with condition assessment of damaged collections and provided technical assistance in collections recovery after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005. With this project, NCPTT's Sean Clifford and Jason Church assisted Jenifer Eggleston of the Historic Preservation Grants program of the National Park Service in documenting the homes that participated in the hurricane recovery grant program. The National Park Service’s National Center for Preservation Technology and Training protects America’s historic legacy by equipping professionals in the field of preservation with progressive technology-based research and training.
