Laverty Falls in Fundy National Park, New Brunswick. I used a 6 stop neutral density filter, to slow down my shutter speed and create the flowing effect in the water. If going to this location in summer, I recommend rainy days or early mornings, to avoid the crowds.
In a year of big leaps on my LEGO journey it’s perfect it should end on another bang!
While at BrickFairVA 2024, I was invited by ConnLUG to join their organization and join one of their biggest display events of the year; the Festival of Trees & Traditions at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art!
I was delighted! For such an auspicious event, and as a new member of ConnLUG, I was honored by their placement in the museum to display my creations, and knew I had to make something worthy of the event! Thus! The Soaring Eagle piece was chosen, and as its perfect display partner - the Golden Bull was revived! It had fallen to pieces since its debut in 2023 but had been patiently waiting for my attention once again, and so was rebuilt during the end of November, finishing only hours before the installation deadline on December 1st.
The Bull and the Eagle will be further on display for a while longer in 2025, alongside famous works of art from the historical to the modern. If you’re able to see it in person, I highly recommend you do so, and get lost in all the amazing art along the way!
My thanks goes to Nick Campbell for finding me at BrickFairVA and helping my every step to this next layer of LEGO life!
Thank you to Cam Panczak and the everyone in ConnLUG for welcoming me to their team and community!
And a big thank you to the Wadsworth Atheneum for giving my creations such an amazing and artful place of honor to display at!

This image of a singular rock is part of a larger body of rocks called Hon Chong. There is a great deal of mythology surrounding these rocks and although the totality of the structure is appealing, I was drawn more towards this one lone rock.

This is a panoramic image made out of 17 individual images stitched using Hugin for Mac.
Each image was taken with a Nikon D600 and a Bower 24mm at f/1.4 for 10 seconds at ISO 2500.

Not one that fits with her ''overall'' concept, but more closer to mine- a little dark and post-apocalyptic elements added..
With a RE Auto Topcor 58mm f1.4.
Whenever I post a YouTube video on old fast fifty lenses, people write in and recommend I try a Topcor 58mm f1.4. Some claim it's the best fast fifty of its era.
So I've finally acquired one, and it'll be interesting to see just how good it is.
Recommend viewing this Large On Black to get the experience of what it was like at this incredible location.
OK... Every man and his dog has an image like this one... but if you are staying in Canyonlands, you just HAVE to shoot Mesa Arch at Dawn. It's spectacular... no other word for it.
Single exposure... yes the colours really are that intense.. the reds and yellows are unbelievable on the arch.

This was probably my primary motivation for going to Zion. This is the medal at the end of the Left Fork of the North Creek hike. Nine miles of some of the most technical hiking I've done.
Oh yeah, and there is no HDR going on here, one exposure.
Yellowstone National Park, WY
Canon 1V HS, Fuji Velvia 100
Thanks for all the comments. I really didn't expect this one to get as much attention as it has received. What can I say, Yellowstone is really one of the few places on earth that was made to be captured with Velvia :). This shot was taken about six years ago, and I have since grown to favor Provia and Astia over Velvia for most of my color photography. But I feel I have to use Velvia here, I mean it actually does a great job with the colors. People that have been to Yellowstone will agree when I say that these colors are not actually punched up, the colors are really that vibrant. I can't wait to go back and shoot these same scenes with the large format camera and some Velvia 50. For those that have not been to Yellowstone & the Grand Tetons, I highly recommend that you plan a trip. Give yourself as much time as you can, 2-3 weeks, and you will have barely scratched the surface. Pack some Velvia and Provia with you, as you'll be glad you did. Stay long enough and you might fall in love with the place.

Having no new photos make me realize that old and almost forgotten photos are always better than none. These days and the days ahead are expected to be tight for me. No time to go out and shoot. The little time left after work is the time spent to check folders and scavenge for some pics.
Note: I could have photographed more of Las Vegas and Grand Canyons but I was so sick with flu during the entire 4 days that I was there. Just forced myself out. Belaggio Hotel is not where i stayed, I checked-in at Tropicana Hotel which was of course cheaper and the room was huge.

Can't recommend coming along to see this art installation enough, it is simply an awesome piece of work and from tomorrow, you can check it out at the Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art at the National Glass Centre, in Sunderland.
Antony Gormley's 'Field for the British Isles' is made up of 40,000 tiny individual terracotta figures and it is the largest single artwork in the Arts Council Collection.
The impressive work is the star of Sunderland Culture’s summer programme and was last in the region in 1996 when it was on display at the former Greensfield British Rail Works in Gateshead. Back then, more than 25,000 people came to view the installation.
It is free entry, although you do need to book your visit. I've added a link below for more information.

Full Review of Crown Summit Ski Resort
Highly Recommend!
Quick summary: Overall Score 5
If you like fun activities, vacations, bounding trips with family or friends, this is the place to go! Honestly, I was so pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. It was just wonderful experiences and views; the whole thing was really well put together. The Resort also offers a lot of My Story compatible experiences
Staff Review: 5 Stars
Although at times a little scattered the staff at Crown Summit Ski Resort was a blast. They managed our changing plans and random add Ons with no stress. They were engaging and fun every time we dealt with them. I have zero complaints about the staff and can only say how great fun they were.
Resort on a whole: 4 Stars
There is so much fun stuff to do that we didn’t get to experience it all because well I have ADHD Burnout lol. This 3-sim resort has action everywhere you go, whether taking part in classes, or doing free run stuff like snowboarding or skating. The sim is a little on the heavy side and some of our friends couldn’t get on the sim. So, although beautiful and very entertaining even in the cabin, the 3-sim resort is not for the weaker computer owners. For this reason, only I removed one star.
Activities and Classes: 5 Stars
Although we ended up cancelling a days’ worth of classes it was not for lack of how amazing the experiences we had were. On our first day on site, we settled in a beautiful 3-bedroom cabin with gold and black accents that made you feel like royalty. Once we settled in, we went to explore some of the free amenities. We started with snowboarding and quickly pulled out our own atvs and got stuck in the mountains having fun. We then ventured out and went over to the arcade where we bowled, played games and rode some rides being silly. We went and walked through the sims exploring the different areas and how beautiful they were. The next day we woke up and went to YOGA! I cannot for the life of me explain how much fun and relaxing this was my guests and I plan to return for Yoga classes as they helped us relax and start of the day with a wonderful vibe. We then went for a Helicopter ride, although they seemed to be still working out the kinks of these rides over the 3-sims it was so much fun, full of laughs and the 3-sims are just stunning to view from above. Shortly after our helicopter ride, we went to the ice wine making class, I won’t lie at first, I wasn’t sure what to expect, being from one of most popular regions for ice wine, and not sure what kind of information they would have or how they cloud make a class or experience out of it. Let me tell you it was so worthwhile to take this class, we started with a small information session where the class leader/teacher was filled with correct information. She then engaged us in a game and race to collect grapes and mash them with our feet. Unfortunately for me I was not on the winning team of our group. From there we went on to more discussions about the Ice wine making process and tasting the wines. We were gifted a few bottles of wine to take back to the cabin and a Drunk AO which we used to stumble over to our dinner reservations. We arrived at our dinner and again were met with fun, chatty and fun staff who served us and dealt with our wild loud crazy selves with no questions asked. The food was just amazing, and they had out a Rez Day cake for me which was super exciting.
Cabin: 5 Stars
We had a 3-bedroom cabin that was just stunning from top to bottom. Each bedroom had been well decorated with black and gold accents, seating areas, TVs and comfortable beds. The Master had its own tub and then there was a full bathroom for the other guest. The kitchen was stunning with breakfast Bar type seating at the island. The living area had lovely comfy black couches which we sat on in the morning to wake up. The backyard was where we spent most of our time, there was this stunning hot spring and waterfall right in our backyard, we pulled out our own tv and hung in there on our own floats just enjoying the views. The Cabin itself was surrounded by the most beautiful views and just was a ton of fun. You even had a phone in the cabin to call out to order food if you wanted food delivered to you. So much thought went into this place it was amazing.
Items we sadly missed out on:
Please note we missed out on these things because we were just burnt out from all the fun we had been having and will be going back to finish trying the rest of what is offered.
