Annual event honoring retirees and special award recipients

On Monday, May 15, 2023, the City of Laredo and Mayor, Dr. Victor D. Trevino proclaimed the week of May 15 – 19 as Public Service Recognition Week in Laredo. For the first time, during the same event, the City Manager’s Office and the Human Resources Department recognized 53 employees that have served in the City of Laredo continuously for more than 30 years.

Twelve University of Minnesota, Morris faculty and staff members were honored at the annual Recognition Dinner on Thursday, April 26. Hosted by Chancellor Michelle Behr, the event provided the campus community a chance to congratulate faculty and staff award recipients and to thank retirees for their service to the campus.

Staff Recognition Award Ceremony at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan on Friday December 11, 2015. Recognized were Andrea Clark (Undergraduate Programs Office), Michael Bice (Ross Operations), Emily Schlaack (Kresge Library Services)

Christopher Ankney (Marketing Communications), and Megan Miller (Undergraduate Programs Office). Also recognized was Dwana Jones (Career Services) who was not able to attend the ceremony, though Rhonda Todd accepted in her place. The awards were presented by Dean Alison Davis-Blake and Andrea Clark (Undergraduate Programs Office). The Staff Recognition awards are funded by the Lucile Hochrein Endowment Fund, which is a gift of John and Esther Hochrein. Lucile Hochrein, John's mother, was a secretary at the Business School from the mid-1940's to the mid-1960's. We are grateful to the Hochreins for their generosity in recognizing the high standards of professional service which Lucile Hochrein exemplified. Esther Hochrein passed away in April 2013 at the age of 79.

The Recognition for EOP Graduates took place Wednesday, May 10, 2017. This was an opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of the graduating class of 2017.

At the event students had the chance to to connect with their peers and they also received a commemorative EOP graduation sash, a small token from their "EOP family" to publicly acknowledge your hard work and dedication. Attending the event were also former EOP students receiving their post graduate degree, who were honored with a medal.
